🤖 AI Tokens Lead the Move
Most AI-related tokens recorded solid gains, with the sector’s total market cap rising approximately 1.49%.
Render (RENDER) led the pack, climbing 4.38% to trade around $1.39.
Fetch.ai (FET) followed with a 3.50% gain.
KITE posted an uptick of roughly 3.20%.
However, not all tokens joined the rally.
NEAR Protocol (NEAR) fell 7.19%, likely reflecting a correction after surging nearly 17% days earlier following its “Confidential Intents” launch.
The privacy-focused feature was introduced to enhance discretion for DeFi users, developers, and institutions — and the earlier rally may have simply overheated short-term momentum.
🧠 Nvidia Signals Shift in AI Investments
Market attention also turned to Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, who hinted that the company may conclude its investments in OpenAI and Anthropic.
Nvidia’s reported $30 billion investment in OpenAI is expected to be its final round of funding, while Anthropic — which has received roughly $10 billion — currently has no additional allocations planned.
OpenAI is reportedly preparing for a potential IPO at a valuation near $1 trillion. Anthropic is also expected to go public later in 2026.
Despite the headline risk, markets appear to interpret Nvidia’s move as a sign of AI companies maturing and potentially becoming more financially independent, rather than a loss of confidence in the sector.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has stated in a recent interview that the next users of cryptocurrencies may not even be humans but rather Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents. These automated decision-making programs are becoming popular, and they are handling many personal and commercial tasks that require seamless transactional capacity.The top executive gave these comments on a podcast with David Senra. They talk on a variety of topics, ranging from recent regulatory hurdles to the role of crypto in AI. Armstrong said:

“More and more code is being written by these agents, more than 50% now. Customer support inquiries I think are about 60% answered by Agents now. We’re testing different use cases, for instance around compliance automation we’re building a lot of stuff in-house, design totally rapidly prototype stuff. The thing that’s more unique to crypto is that these AI agents are increasingly needing to do payments and we’re giving them all stablecoin wallets…,”

Armstrong believes that the primary use case here is an autonomous machine-to-machine payment capability that can revolutionize the tangible appeal of AI agents. He further argues that traditional finance wasn’t designed for this kind of functionality, and that only digital currencies, especially stablecoins, are equipped to handle it.

He elaborates that this is not wishful thinking as Coinbase is already implementing this strategy at full pace. AI agents on the exchange platform act as digital employees for tasks that require transactions, such as spinning up AWS resources. Armstrong further states that their input is always considered useful in the company’s decision-making process. Speaking on the All-In Podcast, the Bridgewater Associates founder said bitcoin should not be compared to gold because it lacks central bank backing, offers limited privacy and could face an existential threat from future advances in quantum computing. Dalio also pointed to the asset’s public ledger, suggesting transactions can be monitored and potentially controlled.

Dalio, who said last year that he has about a 1% allocation to bitcoin, isn't new to the criticism of the digital asset. At the time, he said bitcoin faces challenges as a global reserve asset due to its traceability and potential vulnerabilities from quantum computing.

However, industry figures say those critiques reflect longstanding debates around bitcoin, and that the risks Dalio highlighted are already reflected in bitcoin's much smaller market value compared to gold.

Bitcoin’s risks are also its upside

However, some analysts say those critiques are exactly why bitcoin is worth buying.

"Dalio’s not 'wrong' in an absolute sense," Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at asset manager Bitwise, told CoinDesk. "There really is some risk with quantum and central banks really aren't buying bitcoin yet."

But Hougan said those concerns are precisely why bitcoin still trades far below, roughly 4%, of gold’s total market size. Bitcoin's market cap currently stands at around $1.4 trillion, compared to gold's estimated $35 trillion
