Options market data offer a detailed look at positioning, volatility expectations, and underlying sentiment, according to on-chain analytics provider Glassnode.Implied volatility has been easing rather than expanding across all maturities. Both short- and longer-dated contracts are being repriced lower, as the term structure stays flat. Moreover, one-month implied volatility is at 41.5%, just below the three-month level.Demand for protection is also softening. Put premiums have lost ground against calls, pointing to reduced hedging interest and a gradual repositioning toward a more constructive stance. The shift is most visible at the front end of the curve, where one-week skew has fallen roughly six points and one-month skew about three points over the past week.With options now appearing fairly priced, participants are undecided about whether to capitalize on the current volatility or prepare for the next leg.Yet flows over the past seven days have turned notably bullish. Some 32% of taker activity has come from outright call buying, reflecting active upside positioning rather than simply the unwinding of protective hedges. That buying is helping to underpin the price advance.The $75,000 level itself has become a significant gamma trigger. Bullish flows have created roughly $5 billion in negative gamma exposure between $74,000 and $78,000. A clean break higher through that band could therefore accelerate mechanically as market makers adjust their hedges.That said, downside protection at the $70,000 strike is still in place, with net premium still tilted toward puts. Film Review: “Self Custody” Indie Film about Bitcoin on Amazon Prime
In the wild west of money, where a forgotten password to your Bitcoin wallet can mean the difference between fortune and ruin, comes the taut 31-minute Bitcoin action-thriller Self Custody (2026). Co-directed by Garrett Patten (who also stars as the desperate lead) and Fernando Ferro, the micro-feature is produced by Patten’s own TBK Productions in association with Tucci & Company. 

The film features Entourage alum Adrian Grenier in a key supporting role, alongside UFC champion and Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo in his acting debut, and House star Odette Annable. After a private Sundance screening and pickup by Inaugural Entertainment for distribution, Self Custody (2026) arrived on Tubi and Plex before landing on Amazon Prime Video—delivering a compact, terrifying yet entertaining tale drawn from real-world stories of lost Bitcoin wallets.

Scott, a family man, finds himself in financial trouble after failing to organize his finances when his family friend and accountant gives him a call. Turns out Scott had gotten a signing bonus from some tech company he worked for in 2014, paid in Bitcoin. Today, presumably well into the 2020’s, that bonus is worth over 14 million dollars. The film follows Scott as he tries to claim this Bitcoin, quickly realizing his self-custody setup was done improperly, and he does not remember the PIN code to the wallet. 

The film is overall negative on self-custody as a practice, presenting the absolute worst-case scenario for a Bitcoin or crypto owner. A series of mistakes, presented as innocent but really born out of a lack of study or knowledge of the technology and industry, led Scott to catastrophic loss, in admittedly a very entertaining and action-packed fashion.

Bitcoin’s recent price behavior has kept traders split between those expecting another leg down and those calling that a bottom is already in. That tension is now feeding different technical analyses, with one analyst arguing that the probability of a deeper crash has dropped significantly based on long-term signals.

Chance Of Bitcoin Making New Lows Is Very Small
Bitcoin has spent months testing the patience of its holders since its all-time high of $126,000 in 2025. According to crypto analyst Sykodelic, there is a compelling case that the drawdown is done and that the probability of Bitcoin revisiting new lows at this point has dropped massively.

Sykodelic’s rationale leans heavily on the behavior of the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the weekly candlestick timeframe chart. According to his analysis posted on X, Bitcoin has just printed a powerful bullish break on the weekly RSI, and what makes this particular reading extraordinary is not just where it bounced from but how low it got before doing so.

The weekly RSI has only fallen below 30 on three occasions in BTC’s history, with the most recent being Q1 2026. However, the RSI is now back into the normal zone, and it has broken above a descending trendline that touches lower highs. According to the analyst, this scenario means that the probabilities are now very slim for new lows of any kind.

The Bottom Signals Have Stacked Up
The RSI break did not arrive on its own. Sykodelic noted that multiple bottom indicators have converged simultaneously, a convergence he described as reaching a very high degree. According to him, about 12 important bottom indicators have fired, and Bitcoin is showing it here.

SEC charges Donald Basile in $16M crypto fraud tied to ‘insured’ token

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a lawsuit against crypto executive Donald Basile, accusing him and two companies he controlled of raising about $16 million from investors through false claims tied to a so-called “insured” crypto token known as Bitcoin Latinum.

In a complaint filed Friday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the SEC alleged that Basile ran the scheme between March and December 2021 through Monsoon Blockchain Corp. and GIBF GP Inc., offering investors Simple Agreements for Future Tokens (SAFTs) that promised future delivery of the token, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.

Regulators said hundreds of investors were told the asset was backed and insured, but the SEC alleged no insurance company ever provided coverage or any proof that these claims were true, per the report.

The case marks one of the few SEC enforcement actions under the Trump administration, which has signaled a more crypto-friendly regulatory stance compared to previous administrations.

Former UK Prime Minister sees economy on 'very negative trajectory,' indicates support for bitcoin



Liz Truss, the U.K.'s shortest-serving prime minister, said the country's economy has been stagnating for decades and many of the problems result from a lack of sound money and the debasement of the currency, an erosion in the value of sterling caused by inflation and the printing of new banknotes.

Truss, who led a Conservative government for 45 days in 2022, said the financial situation strengthened her interest in bitcoin , which some observers see as a tool against debasement. She said she's "very interested" in the cryptocurrency, which she first encountered when working at the Treasury and mentioned it there "to shake things up." Truss was Chief Secretary to the Treasury for about two years until July 2019.

“A lot of the problems we have are due to debasement of our currency and lack of sound money,” Truss said in an interview with CoinDesk. The absence of serious debate around money in academia and government had become “quite sinister,” and discussions about monetary policy had become “a taboo” within government, despite its central role in driving economic outcomes.

For Truss, bitcoin sits alongside a wider concern about centralization and control. She warned the current system is geared toward increasing “centralized control” and limiting financial independence, particularly through regulation and taxation, and positioned bitcoin as part of a pushback against that trend.

The economy is on a “very negative trajectory,” she said, warning the country faces long-term decline driven by weak growth, rising state control and what she sees as a failure of monetary policy.
