Despite recent positive price action, a prominent analyst who accurately predicted Bitcoin's previous top believes the cryptocurrency has not yet reached its ultimate bottom. Benjamin Cowen, founder of Into The Cryptoverse, points to three key on-chain indicators that have historically signaled every Bitcoin cycle bottom without fail. None of these indicators have shown the necessary conditions for a bottom to be forming.

Cowen's analysis is rooted in objective data rather than market sentiment or news. The three crucial on-chain signals he highlights are: the supply in profit/loss indicator not having crossed, the MVRV Z-score remaining above zero (which has historically required a dip below zero for a bear market bottom), and Bitcoin failing to trade below both its realized price (around $54,000) and its balance price (near $39,000). Each of these levels has been a critical touchpoint for previous cycle lows.

Based on these indicators, Cowen assigns a 75% probability that Bitcoin will experience further declines before a true bottom is established. He identifies the $78,000-$79,000 range as a significant resistance zone, representing the flip from previous bull market support to overhead resistance. Until Bitcoin decisively breaks above this level, the bear market structure is considered to remain intact, with tactical rallies being normal occurrences within a larger downtrend. Cowen's projection places the most likely bottom in Q4 2026, aligning with a 4-year cycle, and suggests a potential price target around the balance price of $39,000, indicating a decline consistent with previous, slightly less severe bear markets. Reportedly, Bitwise Asset Management has filed a second amendment with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), marking a significant milestone on the road to launching its planned spot Hyperliquid exchange-traded fund.

Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, noted in Friday’s X post that Bitwise has changed the ticker for its Hyperliquid ETF to $BHYP and set a management fee of 0.67%, or 67 basis points.

Balchunas claims that these information being filed usually indicate that the product is about to be launched. He went on to say that the corporation was probably attempting to cash in while the iron was hot, since HYPE had gone up 200 percent in the last year.

This application comes as other asset managers, including as Grayscale and 21Shares, are also attempting to get in on the action by releasing their own exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to the crypto perpetual futures protocol and blockchain. Bitwise filed its Hyperliquid ETF with the SEC in September before the other two. A month later, 21Shares filed theirs, and Grayscale did the same at the end of March.

Investors will be able to track the current price of Hyperliquid via Bitwise’s ETF, which would trade on the NYSE Arca stock market if it is approved. Although neither Grayscale nor 21Shares have made it clear that their funds would aim to earn extra returns via HYPE staking, Bitwise said so in the firm’s first December filing revision.
