Governor Kathy Hochul’s office called the action a baseless attack on blue states, noting that New York issues CDLs under federally issued rules and that audits from the first Trump administration supported its practices. The DOT also warned that an additional $147 million in federal funding could be at risk if New York remains out of compliance, and threatened to bar the state from issuing any new CDLs if it does not revoke the flagged licenses. Trump administration news this week showed federal funding being used as a direct enforcement lever against a Democratic-led state. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Thursday that a FMCSA review found New York had defaulted to issuing eight-year commercial driver’s licenses regardless of the immigration status or expiration of legal presence documents of the applicant. The state was ordered to review all such non-domiciled CDLs last year and revoke any issued in violation of federal law. The third question you want to ask is why would they keep it secret?"From there, Jiang argued that the likely candidates were US intelligence and defense agencies, citing the role government-linked institutions played in building foundational internet infrastructure. "Probably the same people who created the internet, probably the same people who created GPS, DARPA, NSA, CIA, probably these guys, he said. In his telling, blockchain would serve two strategic purposes: surveillance and covert financing.

$XRP is starting to regain strength after holding firm at a critical demand zone near $1.4. The reaction from that level was not weak or hesitant.

Price bounced with intent, and since then, momentum has been building in a way that suggests buyers are stepping back in with confidence.

Demand zone shifts short-term bias

The $1.4 zone has now proven to be more than just temporary support. It acted as a base, and the rebound from it has shifted the short-term structure back in favor of buyers.

However, the path to test higher points of interest is not completely open. The market is now approaching a layered resistance area that could slow things down.

The supply zone between $1.5 and $1.6 stands as the immediate barrier. It is a zone where sellers previously stepped in, and it is likely to attract attention again.

$1.67 liquidity level remains the key target

Beyond the current supply zone, the larger objective sits around $1.67. This level represents both a prior high and a clear liquidity target.

Markets tend to gravitate toward such levels, especially when momentum is already building. A liquidity cluster worth 4.66 million at the 1.66 resistance level underlines the price level as a key target for Ripple buyers.

Still, reaching that level will depend on how price behaves within the $1.5–$1.6 range. A clean push through could open the path toward $1.67. A rejection, on the other hand, may lead to a pause or brief consolidation.

BlackRock clients have added nearly $284 million worth of Bitcoin exposure in a single day. The inflow came through BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, showing strong institutional demand.

This move did not happen in isolation. Total Bitcoin ETF inflows reached about $663 million on the same day. That marks the highest daily inflow in nearly three months. As a result, the market is once again focusing on institutional activity.

Institutional Demand Picks Up

BlackRock’s ETF led the inflows with nearly $284 million. This makes it the top contributor for the day. At the same time, other major players also joined in. Fidelity and ARK added strong inflows as well. Together, these firms pushed total ETF demand much higher.

This steady buying shows that institutions are still accumulating Bitcoin. Moreover, this is not a one-day trend. ETF inflows have remained positive for several days in a row. This consistency adds confidence to the market.

ETF Flows Signal Accumulation

ETF inflows often reflect long-term positioning. Unlike retail trading, institutional flows tend to move slowly and steadily. Because of this, many traders see them as a bullish signal. In this case, BlackRock’s activity stands out. Its Bitcoin ETF already holds tens of billions in total inflows. This latest addition strengthens its position even further.
