Top American Music Producer Exits Shiba Inu After Dumping His Last 1.78B SHIB
Blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence reports that American music producer and former NFT advocate Steve Aoki has exited his position in Shiba Inu.


The latest transaction appears to mark the end of Aoki’s multi-year involvement with the token. On-chain data shows that he sold his remaining Shiba Inu holdings along with some Ethereum and transferred the proceeds to the U.S.-based exchange Gemini. 

Key Points

Steve Aoki sold 1.78 billion SHIB (about $10,340), fully exiting his Shiba Inu position after holding it for several years.

He also reduced his Ethereum holdings, retaining only about 5 ETH in his wallet.

The proceeds from these sales were transferred to the Gemini crypto exchange.

Weeks earlier, Aoki liquidated his Pepe holdings, suggesting the sell-off extends beyond SHIB alone.

Ripple Partners With Kyobo Life on South Korea’s First Tokenized Government Bond Settlement Pilot


Ripple has announced its first collaboration with a major South Korean insurance institution, partnering with Kyobo Life Insurance on tokenized government bond settlement.

The pilot will use Ripple Custody and $XRP Ledger infrastructure to test real-time settlement, custody and transfer of tokenized bond assets.

Ripple is moving deeper into South Korea’s institutional market with a pilot that aims to bring government bond settlement onto blockchain rails.

The company said on April 15 that it is partnering with Kyobo Life Insurance, one of South Korea’s leading insurance groups, in what it described as its first collaboration with a major local insurance institution.

The project will focus on enabling real-time transactions for tokenized government bonds, replacing slower and more fragmented settlement processes with a more transparent onchain model.

Ripple brings custody and settlement tools into a traditional bond workflow

Under the arrangement, Kyobo Life will use Ripple Custody for the holding, transfer and settlement of tokenized assets. The settlement layer itself will run on the $XRP Ledger, which Ripple is positioning as the backbone for a more streamlined institutional workflow.

That matters because bond settlement remains one of the more operationally dense corners of finance. Even in developed markets, the process can still rely on manual reconciliation, siloed systems and delayed finality. Ripple’s pitch here is that tokenization can compress that machinery into something faster and easier to track.

The Ethereum Foundation is launching a joint initiative to subsidize security audits for blockchain developers.

According to a post on Tuesday announcing the so-called Ethereum Security Subsidy Program, the foundation has partnered with digital asset advisory firm Areta to tap its audit marketplace, which connects Ethereum builders to a pool of about 20 professional audit firms.

"Security audits are a best practice, yet expensive. The subsidy program makes audits accessible and strengthens the Ethereum ecosystem," the EF wrote on X. 

The EF will provide $1 million to support the audit program, with blockchain data startup Chainlink and top Ethereum execution client Nethermind helping to vet applicants. If selected, projects could receive funding to cover the costs of up to 30% of their audits, with new cohorts chosen every month.

"The Ethereum Security Subsidy Program is a joint initiative with top-tier audit providers, anchored by an Expert Committee with leading minds from some of the organizations who know Ethereum the best," Areta Market CEO Fin Boothroyd said on X.

Areta is an advisory firm that offers access to the Areta Market, a specialized audit marketplace that connects blockchain projects to top-tier security audit firms.
