Cardano ($ADA) trades at $0.160, down 94.8% from its all-time high of $3.10. From the cycle’s peak price of $1.32 in December 2024, it is down 87.8%, further reflecting the deep correction that has mirrored the broader market trend.

Recently, $ADA broke below its previous cycle’s low of $0.22 to the current market price. The token now trades at price levels last seen in 2020. But could the downtrend be over for the now 16th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap?

Notably, the crypto market often moves through cycles, with bullish and bearish phases unfolding over multiple years. An example is what happened between 2021 and 2023. Cardano grew by 621% in 2021 to its peak and current all-time high of $3.10.

After reaching the peak, $ADA entered a deep correction that erased a significant portion of its gains. It spent years consolidating before building a base. June 2023 marked an important shift in Cardano’s structure as the market found stability. The coin finally bottomed out at $0.22 after a staggering 93% crash.
What followed was months of recovery that carried $ADA substantially higher into late 2024. It rose an impressive 500% from the low to the December 2024 high, as bulls reclaimed control of the market from bears.

Now, attention is once again turning to June 2026. Cardano has dropped to multi-year lows and has also dropped well below prior highs, with some analysts suggesting the possibility of a price bottom.

One of the reasons for this bias is the timing of the previous bottom. $ADA formed a base in June 2023, exactly 21 months after its 2021 peak. Currently, it has been 19 months since the coin peaked in December 2024. If $ADA finds a durable base as it did three years ago, then a turning point is near.

If the broader correction has indeed run its course, Cardano could be entering the early stages of a new expansio

30 days, $6.35B gone – What’s happening with Bitcoin ETFs?

The Spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been experiencing a prolonged period of negative performance.

Galaxy Research reports that net outflows of $6.35 billion over the past 30 days have caused U.S. spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs to record their worst monthly performance since their inception.

This number is the highest of all 582 rolling 30-day periods that the firm tracks, highlighting a notable exodus of institutional capital from Bitcoin investment products.

If the trend continues, such prolonged outflows could lessen the short-term demand support for Bitcoin prices. Needless to say, these outflows usually indicate waning investor sentiment, profit-taking, or a more general shift toward risk-off positioning.

Winners and losers of Bitcoin ETF
During these 30 days, BlackRock’s IBIT experienced the biggest outflows, totaling $4.51 billion, making it the loser of the month. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT, on the other hand, saw $1.25 billion in inflows after winning in these 30 days.

While this happened, Bitcoin’s price dropped from about $76K in early May to $64K at the time of publication.

As can be seen, it’s the Bitcoin price that triggered the outflows, which caused the price to move from a bullish to a bearish zone.

How other ETFs are performing?
While Bitcoin ETFs experienced a difficult period, spot Ethereum [$ETH] ETFs also saw $1.149 billion outflows. In the $ETH space too, BlackRock’s ETHA saw the largest outflows, while Fidelity’s FETH saw the largest inflows.

Bitcoin (BTC) is showing signs of another macro-driven breakdown as the yen carry trade risk that rattled global markets in August 2024 returns to focus.
Bitcoin fell near $62,800 on Tuesday, down approximayely 7% from its June highs as traders reacted to weakness across Asian markets and renewed concerns over the Japanese yen carry trade.

The pressure comes as USD/JPY trades near 161–162, close to levels that previously triggered heavy concern from Japanese authorities. Japan’s previous intervention, worth about 11.7 trillion yen, or roughly $72–73 billion, has largely failed to keep the yen stronger.
A sudden yen rebound can force investors to unwind yen-funded trades.

In simple terms, investors borrow cheap yen, sell it for dollars and buy higher-yielding assets, including equities, credit and other risk-sensitive assets. When the yen rises quickly, those trades become expensive to maintain, forcing traders to sell assets to raise cash and repay yen liabilities.

Bitcoin suffered from that same deleveraging pressure in August 2024.

At the time, Japan’s Nikkei had tumbled nearly 20%, the S&P 500 had fallen more than 5%, and Bitcoin had slid around 15% as the unwind of crowded trades hit global markets. Nikkei also suffered a brutal 12% one-day crash, its worst session since 1987.
