Solana [$SOL] rebounded above the $70 mark with price up by about 2% in the past 24 hours at press time, amidst a wider market recovery. Notably, the daily trading volume was up more than 20% to around $2.20 billion.

Solana’s rally began late last week after a TD Sequential buy signal, lifting the price about 8% from $68 to $74. However, momentum now appears to be shifting on shorter timeframes.

As the price of Solana rises above $70, it encounters a heavy resistance at $75, which could be a hurdle to this recovery.

Moreover, the TD Sequential has flashed sell on the 4-hour timeframe as it tests its resistance trendline. The resistance is coinciding with the 200 SMA, showing its a strong area of supply. As such, it could suggest that $SOL is about to undergo a minor pullback to $72 or even lower levels.

Bitcoin treasury Strive's shares jump as company's holdings near 20,000 BTC

Strive said it purchased 759 bitcoin for approximately $50 million.

The company’s shares (ASST) rose about 10% in early trading.

Strive, the bitcoin treasury company founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, saw its shares jump about 10% in early trading on Monday after the firm said its total BTC holdings rose to nearly 20,000 coins.

The company said it purchased 759 bitcoin at an average cost of about $65,850 per BTC, for a total investment of roughly $50 million. Strive's shares (Nasdaq: ASST) hit a high of $16.31, up nearly 10%, before trading back to the $15.40 area at the time of publication.

Bitcoin's price also rose slightly on Monday to $64,967.60, according to The Block's BTC price page.

The stock's gains came as Strive's perpetual preferred stock, SATA, continued recovering after falling below $93 last week amid elevated trading volume. At the time, Chairman and CEO Matt Cole described the selloff as a "leverage liquidation event, not a deterioration in underlying credit quality."

Sales of SATA are designed to help Strive fund BTC purchases. Bitcoin has displayed significant volatility in recent months, falling over 50% from trading at an all-time high of nearly $125,000 late last year.

Recently, Strive CIO Ben Werkman told The Block that if bitcoin continues trading at lower levels, the downturn could trigger consolidation among treasury companies.

Strive said Monday its total holdings sit at 19,864 bitcoin, ranking it the seventh-largest, publicly-traded BTC treasury ahead of SpaceX and Coinbase.

Ethereum remained inside a broader descending channel, even as spot price action showed little movement around the $1,700 area.

The token traded at $1,736 at press time, up 0.08% on the day, according to the report by Gladys Makena and reviewed by Renuka Tahelyani. The narrow move did not change the larger structure.

Large holders appeared less willing to wait for a confirmed breakdown.

Onchain Lens said the whale wallet “pension-usdt.eth” increased a 3x leveraged ETH short to 50,000 ETH, worth $85.28 million. The position carried more than $1.43 million in unrealized profit, while another whale opened a 23,000 ETH short with 20x leverage before closing it for about $125,000 in profit.

ETH Traders

The bearish whale activity did not match the wider derivatives market.

CoinGlass data showed $22 million in short liquidations, a sign that aggressive downside bets were still vulnerable to sudden moves. Coinalyze data also showed the long-short ratio rising to 2.73, with about 73% of open positions long and 26% short.

That split leaves Ethereum between two forces.

Whale shorts suggest confidence in another leg lower, but broad trader positioning shows many market participants still expect a rebound. The Directional Movement Index from TradingView showed the negative directional indicator still leading, while the ADX sat near 5.

Baillie Gifford Launches UK-Regulated Tokenized Bond Fund on Solana and Ethereum With BNYBaillie Gifford, the Edinburgh-based investment firm, has launched a tokenized corporate bond fund natively on Solana and Ethereum, making it the first publicly available, fully native UK-regulated tokenized fund issued on public blockchains.

The fund, called the Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund with ticker $BAGEY, targets roughly 7% annual yield through active fixed-income management, CoinDesk reported Monday. BNY provides the tokenization and wallet infrastructure. Baillie Gifford's digital-assets unit BGDA announced the launch describing it as "an actively managed bond fund, issued natively onchain, with the blockchain as the legal source of truth." Fund size at launch has not been disclosed publicly.

Native, Not Wrapped
Most tokenized funds operate through a wrapper structure: investors hold a tokenized receipt representing a claim on a fund whose ownership records remain off-chain in a traditional registrar. BAGEY uses a different architecture. The token itself is the legal holding. Subscriptions and redemptions settle in $USDC directly against the chain. Solana's official account confirmed the design: "Not a wrapper. The blockchain is the register of record."

That structure has practical implications for institutional custody and settlement. Removing the transfer-agent intermediary layer means ownership transfers settle at blockchain speed, with $USDC clearing replacing traditional T+2 processes.

However, $SOL remains structurallybullish in the near-term. In fact, Solana was showing more strength than Ethereum [ETH], explaining why its Solana ETFs inflows and network activity remain strong contrary to what the charts could do.
