Bitdeer's latest operating update has revealed a concrete insight into the recent Bitcoin miner-AI pivot: the company produced far more Bitcoin but ended the month with far fewer coins than it held a year earlier.

The company reported 921 BTC mined in May 2026, up 370% year over year, while BTC held at month-end stood at 171. In its May 2025 update, Bitdeer reported that it had mined 196 BTC and held 1,351 BTC.

That split sets up a sell-pressure question inside the miner-AI pivot. Bitdeer is asking investors to value a mining fleet, proprietary ASICs, power sites, AI cloud capacity, and future colocation revenue as a single business. The Bitcoin balance shows how much of that strategy still depends on converting mined coins into operating liquidity.
The answer is mixed. AI revenue may become a cash buffer that reduces the need to sell coins into weak mining economics. The May and first-quarter disclosures show a company producing more BTC while carrying a much smaller coin stack, alongside an AI infrastructure business that brings a different set of risks.

The reading also remained well below the 3.0 crowd-greed threshold, placing sentiment firmly in fear territory. Despite the negativity, discussion volume remained elevated, making $DOT one of crypto’s most debated assets.

$DOT outflows persisted despite growing attention
Exchange flow data showed capital continued leaving exchanges despite the increase in social activity surrounding $DOT.

At the time of writing, Spot inflows reached approximately $718,980, while outflows totaled about $787,370. This left a negative netflow of roughly $68,390.

The imbalance suggested holders continued withdrawing slightly more tokens than they deposited onto trading platforms.

Although persistent outflows can reflect reduced selling intentions, the margin between inflows and outflows remained relatively small.

As a result, exchange activity did not point to aggressive accumulation or heavy distribution.

Instead, investors appeared cautious while monitoring whether Polkadot’s growing visibility could translate into stronger market demand.

As markets recovered, traders gradually rebuilt exposure through derivatives. Open Interest stood at roughly $108 billion over the past 24 hours.

Liquidations also eased to roughly $146 million after earlier volatility flushed weaker positions. That pointed to improving risk appetite.

Even so, leverage appeared to rebuild faster than conviction. This left traders focused on whether stronger Spot demand and fresh capital inflows would emerge.
