Solana dismisses ‘shilling’ narrative: Can SOL/ETH eye an H2 breakout?
Traders rarely dismiss a sudden rally in a risk-off market as a random spike.

That was the case with Solana [$SOL]. On the 20th of June, $SOL closed the day up nearly 5%, marking its strongest daily gain in almost two weeks. More importantly, the move helped Solana pull ahead of the broader large-cap altcoin market, which managed gains of only around 1.5%. As a result, $SOL showed clear relative strength, breaking above the $170 resistance level.

But judging by the social media buzz, this rally wasn’t entirely out of the blue. In a post on X, influential crypto trader Ansem simply posted “Solana,” sparking a wave of excitement as traders piled in behind the call. Before long, the move snowballed into what many analysts described as a “shilling” event, with $SOL attracting fresh speculative interest across social media.
In other words, Solana dismissed the idea of a paid promotional campaign, arguing that the sudden surge in support came from its existing community rather than coordinated marketing efforts. And looking at the charts, that argument has some merit.

The $SOL/$ETH ratio jumped 4.6%, marking its strongest single-day gain in nearly three weeks. In doing so, Solana significantly outperformed Ethereum [$ETH], suggesting there may be more behind the rally than just hype. As a result, the market is increasingly rejecting the idea that “shilling” alone drove $SOL’s rally.

Experienced Analyst Sets $1,060 Target for Ethereum (ETH) and Predicts What Might Happen NextCrypto analyst Ali Martinez made noteworthy assessments regarding the long-term price outlook for Ethereum ($ETH). According to Martinez, $ETH is currently trading at a price close to the levels it was at in March 2021.

The analyst noted that this situation points to a significant picture for Ethereum investors. Martinez stated that an investor who invested $10,000 in $ETH five years ago would have approximately the same value today. Accordingly, despite experiencing high volatility, strong bull markets, and deep bear market liquidations in the last five years, Ethereum has not shown a net gain compared to this starting level.

Martinez stated that following this widespread structural reset, the $1,060 level stands out as a key value zone to watch for Ethereum. According to the analyst, if $ETH successfully defends this macro support level, a recovery towards $2,850 and even $4,630 could be possible in the short to medium term.

Martinez also issued warnings regarding the debt structure of Strategy, known for its Bitcoin-focused balance sheet. The analyst reminded that interest rates on traditional corporate bonds are generally fixed, meaning that interest payments do not change even if the company struggles, and that a drop in market price primarily affects investors.

However, according to Martinez, Strategy’s STRC debt structure operates differently. The analyst noted that the interest rate can be adjusted upwards to keep the bond price stable, and that if a drop in Bitcoin price increases investor panic, Strategy might have to pay higher interest rates to appease investors.

Bitdeer's latest operating update has revealed a concrete insight into the recent Bitcoin miner-AI pivot: the company produced far more Bitcoin but ended the month with far fewer coins than it held a year earlier.

The company reported 921 BTC mined in May 2026, up 370% year over year, while BTC held at month-end stood at 171. In its May 2025 update, Bitdeer reported that it had mined 196 BTC and held 1,351 BTC.

That split sets up a sell-pressure question inside the miner-AI pivot. Bitdeer is asking investors to value a mining fleet, proprietary ASICs, power sites, AI cloud capacity, and future colocation revenue as a single business. The Bitcoin balance shows how much of that strategy still depends on converting mined coins into operating liquidity.
The answer is mixed. AI revenue may become a cash buffer that reduces the need to sell coins into weak mining economics. The May and first-quarter disclosures show a company producing more BTC while carrying a much smaller coin stack, alongside an AI infrastructure business that brings a different set of risks.
