STRC’s plunge puts Saylor’s Bitcoin dividend machine under pressure
STRC’s plunge is forcing investors to ask whether Saylor can defend Strategy’s high-yield dividend machine without selling Bitcoin, diluting shareholders, or breaking confidence in the trade.
Strategy’s STRC preferred stock fell to $82.61 intraday, nearly 17% below its $100 stated amount before recovering.

02That drop pushed STRC’s effective yield to about 13%, raising annual dividend costs on $10.5 billion notional to roughly $1.21 billion.

03Strategy now faces a choice between higher payouts, Bitcoin sales, MSTR issuance, or buybacks as confidence in the structure weakens.

STRC, Strategy's perpetual preferred stock, traded as low as $82.61 on June 18 before recovering to $88.59, putting the security nearly 17% below its $100 stated amount at the intraday low.

MSTR fell 3.4% to $112.53 during the same session, while Bitcoin traded near $62,730, down about 2.5%.

Strategy designed STRC to hover around $100 through monthly dividend-rate adjustments, currently set at 11.50% annualized, payable semi-monthly in cash.

At $88.59, that 11.5% coupon implies an effective yield of roughly 13.0%, and the disconnect between the stated rate and market demand shows how far confidence has slipped.

With approximately $10.5 billion of STRC notional outstanding, an 11.5% annual rate implies roughly $1.21 billion in STRC-only dividend costs.

If the market keeps pricing below par and Strategy responds by raising the rate to 14%, the cost would rise to about $1.47 billion annually, which is a dynamic that critics have been warning about for months.

Примечательно, что первое решение под руководством нового председателя ФРС Кевина Уорша сохранило процентную ставку на уровне 3,5%-3,75%, сославшись на устойчивую инфляцию.

Инфляция остается высокой по сравнению с целевым показателем Комитета в 2%, что отчасти отражает шоки предложения, которые привели к росту цен в некоторых секторах, включая энергетику.

Фактически, так называемый «точечный график» показал, что половина совета управляющих ФРС выступает за как минимум одно повышение процентной ставки в этом году. Другими словами, это означает возможное повышение ставок и относительно дорогие кредиты. Такой прогноз обычно снижает склонность к риску, и коррекция криптовалют показала, что инвесторы переоценили свои активы.
Падение цены 17 июня фактически укрепило локальный максимум, предшествовавший недавнему отскоку для восстановления.

 На момент публикации BTC находился на грани падения третий день подряд. Это может открыть возможность возвращения к уровню поддержки в 62-60 тысяч долларов, который остановил недавние коррекции.

Аналогично, Ethereum [ETH] упал на 2% 17 июня, увеличив свои недавние потери до более чем 6%.

С другой стороны, XRP также снизился на 2,5% и торговался на уровне 1,17 доллара, что привело к коррекции на 8%. Альткоин Hyperliqid [HYPE] потерял 3%, но к моменту написания уже восстановился и торговался на уровне 71 доллара. В целом, за последние 24 часа были ликвидированы позиции на сумму около 450 миллионов долларов.
