Tokenized real-world assets, i.e. traditional financial instruments represented as blockchain tokens, now total roughly $31.76 billion in distributed value, according to figures circulating among onchain researchers. The tally has been setting records through 2026 as banks, asset managers and fintechs have moved government debt, credit and equities onto public networks.

Bitcoin.com News reported that the tokenized RWA market cap surged roughly 20-fold in three years to top $29 billion, a base it has since extended. The growth has been driven less by retail speculation than by institutions seeking faster settlement, programmable collateral and round-the-clock access to assets that traditionally trade only during market hours.

Circle and Blackrock Lead the Treasury Race

Tokenized Treasuries remain the engine of the sector with Circle’s USYC product pushing past $3 billion in value, edging Blackrock’s tokenized fund BUIDL, which sits around $2.4 billion. The latter had previously sought the SEC’s approval for the BUIDL fund on Ethereum, a milestone that helped legitimize tokenized money-market exposure for institutional allocators.

Beyond treasuries, the asset mix seems to be widening as private credit too has grown into one of the largest tokenized segments, and Bitcoin.com News reported that real-world assets on Solana crossed $2 billion as networks compete to host the new instruments. Tokenization infrastructure has also expanded across chains, with Securitize integrating with Tron to broaden distribution earlier this year.

The $GENIUS Act leaves room for some state-level oversight of stablecoins, as long as the states can demonstrate a certain level of proficiency.
State regulators got sidelined in the U.S. Department of the Treasury's effort to implement the new U.S. stablecoin law, according to several senators from both parties who insist that the states need to be given an explicit process for proving their supervision and standards are on par with federal regulators'.

The Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins ($GENIUS) Act to regulate stablecoin issuers is being translated into regulations across several federal financial agencies, including the Treasury. But the opening effort may not have satisfied state regulators who are trying to push their own $GENIUS-related regulations, according to $GENIUS-State-Implementation-Letter_-.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a Tuesday letter from the lawmakers, led by Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis, chair of the Senate Banking Committee's crypto subcommittee.

"Treasury’s finalized principles for assessing whether state regimes are substantially similar to the federal regulatory framework are critical in this process," according to the letter, also signed by fellow Republicans and a few Democrats, including Angela Alsobrooks, Catherine Cortez Masto and Kirsten Gillibrand. The largest token traded around $65,800 on Wednesday, down 0.3% over 24 hours but up 7.4% on the week, per CoinDesk data, holding near $66,000 as traders waited on the Federal Reserve's first rate decision under new Chairman Kevin Warsh.

The action was in altcoins. Uniswap's UNI was the standout, jumping 22.5% to $3.53 after Standard Chartered initiated coverage with a $100 price target by 2030, with the bank's digital assets research head Geoffrey Kendrick calling the decentralized exchange a foundational layer of the on-chain economy.

Hyperliquid's HYPE rose 7.8% on the day and 34.3% on the week, and solana added 14.7% over seven days even while flat on Wednesday. Ether gained 1.4% to $1,793 and is up 10.4% on the week. XRP slipped 0.9% to $1.22.

The macro backdrop kept improving for risk assets, just not for bitcoin. Brent crude fell below $79 a barrel, its lowest in more than three months, after sliding 15% over four sessions in its longest losing run this year.

The drop reflects bets that the US-Iran deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz will unleash a wave of supply.

The agreement gives Iran the right to sell oil immediately and access to a $300 billion development fund, with the US Treasury set to issue waivers for Iranian crude and petrochemical exports once the memorandum is signed, in exchange for a commitment never to seek a nuclear weapon.

Bonds rallied, and benchmark Australian and Japanese 10-year yields slipped about five basis points, or hundredths of a percentage point. US stocks were softer, with the Nasdaq 100 down almost 2% on Tuesday as chipmakers pulled back, though S&P 500 futures edged up 0.2%.

That leaves the Fed. Cheaper oil eases the inflation picture just as Warsh takes over, and the decision is the first read on how the new
