и🚨 UKRAINE, RUSSIA AND CHINA: THREE DIFFERENT MODELS OF DIGITAL MONEY AND CRYPTO

The key point is simple 🧩

e-hryvnia, digital ruble and digital yuan are the same type of money.

They are all CBDCs — central bank digital currencies.

But the attitude toward crypto is different in each country.

That is where the real difference begins.

🇨🇳 CHINA: DIGITAL YUAN ON TOP, CRYPTO SQUEEZED BELOW

China is building a strict state-controlled model:

▪️digital yuan
▪️People’s Bank of China
▪️mBridge
▪️CBDC settlements
▪️control over money flows
▪️closed state-banking contour

China is not building a free crypto market like Europe.
China is not saying:
“Let crypto exchanges work legally under licenses.”
China’s logic is different:
the state issues digital money,
the state controls the payment pipeline,
private crypto must not interfere with this contour.
🔥 China’s point:

🇨🇳 digital yuan is the main layer
🌐 crypto is heavily restricted
🏦 the center of the system is the state and banks

🇷🇺 RUSSIA: DIGITAL RUBLE ON TOP, CRYPTO INSIDE A NARROW CORRIDOR

Russia is moving closer to the Chinese logic.

Russia has:

▪️digital ruble
▪️Bank of Russia
▪️domestic payment infrastructure
▪️control over money circulation
▪️restricted crypto regime
▪️shift away from the dollar and the euro
▪️alignment with the Eastern financial contour
Russia is not building a full European-style crypto market.
There is no clear logic of:

“crypto business is a normal legal sector of the economy, get a license and operate.”

The logic is closer to this:
digital ruble is the state system,
crypto is a limited instrument,
mass freedom for the crypto market will not be allowed.
🔥 Russia’s point:

🇷🇺 digital ruble is the main layer
🌐 crypto is inside a narrow corridor
🏦 the center of the system is the Bank of Russia

🇺🇦 UKRAINE: e-HRYVNIA + LEGAL CRYPTO MARKET

Ukraine is building a different model.

Ukraine also has a CBDC direction:

▪️e-hryvnia
▪️National Bank of Ukraine
▪️digital form of the hryvnia
▪️payments
▪️programmable money
▪️possible cross-border settlements
But at the same time, Ukraine is building crypto regulation closer to the European logic:
▪️crypto law
▪️licenses for crypto companies
▪️NSSMC
▪️NBU
▪️AML / KYC
▪️banks + crypto
▪️tokenization
▪️Web3
▪️MiCA-oriented approach
And this is the key difference.
Ukraine is not saying:
“Only digital hryvnia, and crypto must be squeezed.”
Ukraine is building two systems side by side:

🇺🇦 e-hryvnia — state digital money
🌐 crypto market — separate legal sector

🔥 Ukraine’s point:

🇺🇦 e-hryvnia is the state CBDC layer
🌐 crypto is a regulated market under European logic
🏦 the center of the system is NBU + NSSMC + licensed market

🧩 DIRECT COMPARISON

🇨🇳 China:
CBDC is the main layer, crypto is squeezed
digital yuan → mBridge → central bank control
🇷🇺 Russia:
CBDC is the main layer, crypto is restricted
digital ruble → Bank of Russia → narrow corridor for crypto
🇺🇦 Ukraine:
CBDC separately, crypto market separately
e-hryvnia → NBU
crypto law → licenses → MiCA logic

🇪🇺 Europe:
digital euro separately, crypto market separately
Digital Euro → ECB
MiCA → licenses for crypto market

🔥 THE MAIN POINT
Here is the difference:
China and Russia are building a control model through CBDC.

Ukraine is moving closer to the European model:

state digital currency separately,
legal crypto market separately.

So Ukraine is not just launching e-hryvnia.

And it is not just writing a crypto law.

Ukraine is building a hybrid financial system:
🇺🇦 inside — digital hryvnia from the NBU
🇪🇺 outside — crypto market under European logic
🌐 next to it — open blockchain networks
⚠️ IMPORTANT POINT
e-hryvnia is not crypto.
Digital ruble is not crypto.
Digital yuan is not crypto.

They are all CBDCs.

That means state digital money.
Crypto is different:
▪️Bitcoin
▪️Cardano
▪️XRP Ledger
▪️Ethereum
▪️Stellar
▪️Algorand
▪️DeFi
▪️self-custody
▪️Ledger / MetaMask
Crypto is digital ownership through private keys.
CBDC is state digital money through a central bank.
🚨 THE POINT, STRAIGHT
🇨🇳 China builds the digital yuan and squeezes crypto.
🇷🇺 Russia builds the digital ruble and keeps crypto inside a narrow corridor.
🇺🇦 Ukraine builds e-hryvnia, but also legalizes the crypto market under European logic.
🇪🇺 Europe builds the digital euro and regulates crypto through MiCA.
That is why Ukraine is not a copy of China and not a copy of Russia.
Ukraine is closer to the European model:

CBDC separately.
Crypto market separately.
Banks and licenses as the bridge between them.

And the main question of the future is not only who launches a digital currency.

The main question is:

where will there still be space for real crypto, private keys and digital ownership of the individual?
