Ripple CTO Emeritus Reveals Where XRP Is Headed
Popular XRP community figure BankXRP has highlighted how the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is evolving beyond its original role as a payments-focused blockchain into an infrastructure for tokenized finance.

Drawing on recent remarks from Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz, BankXRP argued that XRPL is positioning itself as a platform for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, stablecoins, and institutional financial products.

Schwartz made the remarks during a recent “XRP In A Minute” segment, where he revealed where XRP and its native blockchain are headed. 
According to him, Bitcoin first demonstrated that public blockchains could securely store and transfer value without relying on centralized intermediaries.

He explained that XRPL later expanded on this concept by supporting not only its native digital asset but also issued assets capable of representing stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and other financial instruments.

Furthermore, Schwartz emphasized that enterprises are already using XRPL to tokenize real-world assets. Looking ahead, he stated that the network could eventually support a broader range of tokenized financial products, including securities, money market funds, stocks, repos, and loans.

At the same time, Schwartz suggested that growing enterprise adoption could drive wider retail participation. He also noted that decentralized finance applications could leverage tokenized assets on XRPL to provide services traditionally offered by banks and other financial institutions.

Bitmine bought the dip, making its biggest ether purchase in 2026 as prices tanked


Bitmine (BMNR), the largest Ethereum treasury company, ramped up its purchases of ether ($ETH) last week, making its largest weekly purchase in 2026 as crypto prices tanked.

The firm bought 126,971 $ETH over the past week, worth roughly $214 million at current prices, Bitmine said on Monday, compared to 26,497 tokens the previous week and nearly 120,000 $ETH the week before.

The purchase lifted the firm's total holdings to 5.54 million $ETH, worth some $9.3 billion at current prices, according to the report. The firm also held $247 million in cash, some bitcoin and stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings.

The acquisition marks a reversal from the company's previous call to slow down accumulation as it nears its goal to corner 5% of ether's outstanding supply. The company now holds 4.59% of the token's supply and is set to reach the 5% goal later this year.

"We increased our buying as we believe this pullback in $ETH prices does not reflect the strengthening of Ethereum fundamentals," Bitmine chairman Thomas Lee said in a statement.

Bitmine has remained one of the few large digital asset treasury firms still actively adding to its crypto holdings, while most peers have halted purchases and pivoted to sell as crypto prices turned sharply lower since October. That bet is sitting on an estimated $9.6 billion of paper losses as $ETH fell to its weakest price in more than a year, down some 65% from its August record.

The firm also unveiled plans to issue a preferred equity class that pays dividends to raise more funds, taking a page from bitcoin-centric Strategy's playbook.

That model, however, has come under investor scrutiny. Investors are now debating whether Strategy will be able to comfortably pay its dividend obligations or shore up liquidity as bitcoin prices fell

Veteran Analyst Identifies the Next Key Cardano Support Amid Recent Crash
A prominent market analyst has identified the next key Cardano support level to watch following the recent market-wide crash.

Cardano has remained under pressure as the broader crypto market continues to weaken. At press time, ADA traded around $0.163 after losing 31% of its value this month alone.

As the decline deepens, Stefan Burns from the More Crypto Online analytics platform recently identified where ADA could find its next support. Burns believes Cardano is still moving along the bearish path he outlined in earlier market updates, with the price continuing to trend toward the $0.10 region.

According to Burns, Cardano’s break below the 2023 swing low near $0.22 significantly damaged its long-term market structure. He argued that losing this level strengthened the bearish outlook and increased the likelihood of lower prices ahead.

Burns said his main scenario remains unchanged. He believes ADA is forming a larger C-wave decline, with the next major downside target sitting between $0.09 and $0.10. He noted that this area matches the 100% Fibonacci extension level and represents the first ideal target for the ongoing C-wave move.
The analyst also pointed out that the current selloff has not shown any meaningful signs of slowing. As a result, he continues to favor a bearish outlook and expects the downward trend to remain in place.
