Societe Generale-FORGE, the digital asset division of one of Europe’s largest banks, has expanded the reach of its MiCA-compliant USDCV stablecoin by integrating it into MetaMask. This move gives millions of MetaMask users direct access to a regulated, bank-backed digital dollar.

USDCV is fully backed by cash and cash-equivalent reserves and is issued under French electronic money regulations. The stablecoin maintains a 1:1 value with the US dollar and is designed for use in trading, decentralized finance, and fiat on-ramp services. Through this integration, users can seamlessly interact with the token on both mobile and web platforms.

The partnership with Consensys plays a key role in expanding the distribution of regulated stablecoins, especially as competition among approved issuers under the European Union’s MiCA framework continues to grow. With only a limited number of authorized issuers, gaining access to widely used wallets like MetaMask is becoming increasingly important.

This development reflects a broader trend where traditional financial institutions are actively entering the digital asset space with compliant and regulated products. It also highlights the growing importance of stablecoins in building the infrastructure for digital finance.

South Korean AI chip startup DEEPX is deepening its collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group to build a cutting-edge computing platform for generative AI-powered robots. Nikita Bier, the head of product at X, has announced the platform’s second financial tool, Cashtags, after X Money. The tool will cater to a multitude of traditional and cryptocurrency traders and investors who move billions based on the information obtained from the platform.

The feature comes just hours after Bier teased it, saying crypto has had a “rough year” and that X meant to “fix it.”

Bier now illustrates how users can match their searches to relevant stocks or cryptocurrencies and execute trades instantly. For example, after searching for “Bitcoin,” Cashtags would present its real-time price movement chart, alongside relevant X posts on the coin.
