This comes amid the announcement by both the U.S. and Iran of a two-week ceasefire. In a Truth Social post, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both sides had agreed to a temporary ceasefire and that Iran also agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Bitcoin, XRP, and Dogecoin prices also rose as Trump announced that, as part of the ceasefire, he has agreed to suspend bombing and attacks on Iran for two weeks. This came just as the president's deadline to attack Iran's energy infrastructure neared, with the president already threatening to wipe out their "civilization."

Trump also signaled that they are close to reaching a peaceful and conclusive settlement of the war, which is also a positive for Bitcoin, XRP, and Dogecoin prices. He noted that they have already met and exceeded all military objectives and are very far along with a definitive agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran and peace in the Middle East.

Specifically, Trump revealed that they had received a 10-point proposal from Iran and that they believe it is a workable basis for negotiation. He added that almost all the points have been agreed to by the U.S. and Iran, and that the two-week period will allow them to finalize and consummate the agreement.

Bitcoin's next big move hinges on oil, and right now it's a total coin flip

Bitcoin's next big move may have less to do with crypto fundamentals and more to do with the direction of oil prices.

The leading cryptocurrency by market value has rebounded to $70,900 from early-week lows near $67,000, tracking a broader risk-on move after the U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire late Tuesday that sent oil prices tumbling roughly 15% to below $100 a barrel.

Bitcoin has been here before – prices have climbed above the $70,000 mark several times in recent weeks, only for the rallies to fizzle out quickly, underscoring the lack of sustained upside momentum.

Will it be different this time? It largely depends on whether oil price weakness sustains, according to analysts at crypto exchange Bitfinex.

"A 15–16 percent collapse in crude, if sustained, materially brings forward the potential cut window. Futures markets will likely reprice additional rate-cut probability for late 2026, which is a structural tailwind for non-yielding risk assets, including bitcoin," analysts said in a market update.

A sustained decline in oil prices could ripple through the global economy, partially unwinding the inflationary shock triggered by the March surge and giving the Federal Reserve and other major central banks greater room to cut rates later this year.

Should that happen, bitcoin could rally to $80,000, with gains driven by the unwinding of short positions.

"Bitcoin is sitting at $72,000, pressing into a massive cluster of short liquidity. Derivatives heatmaps show roughly $6 billion in leveraged shorts concentrated between $72,200 and $73,500, with peak density around $72,500. If spot demand can force the price through that zone, the resulting liquidation cascade would likely catapult Bitcoin through the supply gap toward $80,000," Adam Saville Brown, head of commercial at Tesseract Group, said in an email.

A month ago, the buyback program was at 3% of the circulating supply. At its current pace, the project is buying back about 1% of supply or an average of 2.4 million LIT per month. If the trend persists, it would take the DEX about 10 months to lock the entire current circulating supply.

Worth pointing out, however, that LIT’s total supply is capped at 1 billion, and only 250 million LIT tokens were released after the debut. The first wave of unlocks will begin in December 2026.

In the meantime, how is the market responding to the aggressive LIT buyback though?

Telegram spikes Lighter traction
Well, the reception has been very positive and bullish. Since late March, the token has recovered by over 40%, rising from a record low of $0.74 to above $1.13.

LIT’s uptrend momentum was further boosted by a recent Telegram integration. The privacy-focused messenger will use Lighter to power its native trading with up to 50x leverage across crypto and non-crypto assets.

It’s been about a week since the Telegram integration. So, AMBCrypto dug deeper to check whether the partnership is driving meaningful traction for the DEX or not.

According to Lightalytics data, Lighter recorded about 40K new registered users after the Telegram update.

SUI bounced off a support level within a sideways consolidation that began in the first week of March. SUI’s price is trading toward the top of the range at $1 from around the $0.84 zone. However, it’s facing resistance at $0.96, which could be a hurdle going up.

Other metrics indicated that there was bullish momentum, as the Stochastic Momentum Index (SMI) was in the overbought territory as of writing. Furthermore, capital was flowing into the SUI ecosystem as Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) rose above the neutral line and was near 0.03.

While the altcoin still trades in a bear market structure on the daily chart, continued growth in network activity and capital inflow could sustain this short-term bullish momentum. Otherwise, the altcoin could revert to bearish control.

As the rally progressed, ZRO prices began to react more quickly to nearby levels, reflecting a shift towards short-term positions rather than sustained accumulation.

ZRO sellers reacted before a full break of resistance levels. As the rally continued, ZRO moved towards the key resistance zone between $2.11 and $2.31. Prices found support at $1.77, which acted as strong support throughout the rally.

However, prices encountered resistance near the $2.05 to $2.11 area before reaching the upper boundary. This early reaction suggests that sellers have begun defending higher price levels.  Therefore, this structure reflects compression rather than continuation, with prices tightening below the resistance level.

This setup increases pressure on both sides, as buyers need stronger follow-through, while sellers attempt to maintain control near the supply zone.

As of this writing, the MACD line is near the signal line but has not crossed, while prices remain above recent highs, suggesting some easing of bearish pressure.
