XRP has returned above $1.40, giving bulls a reason to think that the cryptocurrency is now finding a footing after weeks of weak price action.

However, crypto analyst ChartNerd believes the current setup needs to be viewed with realistic caution. In a recent analysis and outlook he posted on X, he argued that XRP’s weekly chart is beginning to show bullish signals, but the larger timeframe has not yet confirmed that the correction is over.

XRP Weekly Chart Shows Signs Of Recovery
ChartNerd’s bullish case starts with the weekly chart, where he pointed to several technical signals that usually appear near important turning points. According to him, XRP’s weekly RSI has fallen into historical cycle-low territory, the weekly MACD has formed a bullish golden cross, and the price is still holding around the 200-week EMA. He also noted that the monthly 50 EMA is still acting as support.

These are all bullish signals that are positive on the weekly timeframe. For instance, a golden cross on the MACD usually suggests that downside momentum is weakening and that buyers are beginning to regain control.

The signals are important because the token has spent much of the past several months trying to build a base after a deep correction. The base seems to now be forming around $1.4, and this gives XRP bulls something to work with.

The Larger Timeframe Is Still Not Fully Bullish
The realistic stance for XRP is on the 3-month timeframe, which filters out short-term noise and reveals the main cycle structure.

An example is its 3-month RSI, which is currently around 54. This reading is notable because it is still above the cycle-low region around 47 seen in previous bearish structures before stronger rotations. In realistic historical terms, this means the broader reset may not yet be complete.

Amy Oldenburg, head of digital assets at Morgan Stanley, says client education — not product design — is the central challenge facing bitcoin adoption at the firm and across the industry.Morgan Stanley launched its bitcoin exchange-traded product, the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), into a market it believes is still in its infancy. 

At a panel on Wednesday moderated by Tyler Evans, Amy Oldenburg, the bank’s head of digital assets, spent the better part of an hour making a case for bitcoin that few clients have heard in full, and said that gap is the industry’s most urgent problem.

“We have to start with bitcoin,” Oldenburg told the audience, citing the asset’s roughly 1.5 trillion dollar market cap and its distance from the rest of the crypto landscape. 

She was careful to draw a line between bitcoin and crypto as a broad category, a distinction she said most retail and institutional clients still do not make with confidence. The firm wants to see that distinction anchored in fundamental research, not just narrative.

The education problem, she said, runs deep. Many investors still associate bitcoin with its early history of use by bad actors, and struggle to see past that frame when weighing an allocation. 

Oldenburg said that when clients ask about yield or structured exposure, her team tries to be direct: “you can present it as a yield, but the underlying asset is bitcoin.” That clarity, she said, is still missing from most conversations in the market, and there is “so much more work to do.”

MSBT pulled in more than $100 million in its first week of trading, a strong early signal for a product the bank describes as designed for the full spectrum of its client base rather than a narrow segment. 

But Oldenburg was quick to put that number in context. All of the initial flows came through self-directed accounts, because the fund had not yet been made available on the advisory platform.

Technical Signals Point Higher

According to Ali Martinez, Bitcoin continues to show structural strength following a bullish MACD crossover on April 13. This signal has already driven a 15% rally and has historically marked the beginning of major multi-month uptrends, with past gains reaching as high as 147%.

On the daily chart, Bitcoin is now approaching the crucial 200-day moving average near $83,000. A clean breakout above this level could unlock further upside toward $89,000 and potentially $94,000 in the near term.

According to him, one of the most notable developments is strong whale activity. Large holders accumulated 4,527 BTC in the past 24 hours, worth approximately $362 million, indicating high conviction buying at current levels.
