According to the most recent analyses, actors linked to North Korea allegedly stole around 577 million dollars in cryptocurrencies between January and April 2026. This figure would represent about 76% of global losses due to hacks in the same period.

The announcement was made Friday through Trump's Truth Social account, where he described the agreement as a possible turning point in the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war.According to Trump, the ceasefire will include a complete halt to kinetic military activity and a large-scale prisoner exchange involving 1,000 detainees from each side. The proposed pause in fighting coincides with Victory Day celebrations, a significant World War I! commemoration observed in both Russia and Ukraine. Trump stated that both Putin and Zelenskyy accepted the request for a temporary suspension of hostilities, adding that ongoing negotiations are bringing both sides "closer to a resolution every day." He also referred to the ceasefire as a potential
"beginning of the end" for the deadly conflict that has continued for years and impacted global markets, energy prices, and geopolitical stability. The announcement follows several weeks of uncertainty surrounding peace negotiations and failed ceasefire attempts. On-chain liquidity weakens despite price growth
Arbitrum’s recent price expansion has not been matched by growth in key on-chain liquidity metrics. Both Total Value Locked (TVL) and stablecoin supply across the network have continued to decline, reflecting weakening capital participation within the ecosystem.

TVL, which tracks the total amount of assets locked across decentralized finance protocols on the network, often serves as a measure of investor confidence and ecosystem activity. Sustained declines typically indicate capital rotation away from the chain.

Since tje 18th of April, approximately $449 million has exited Arbitrum’s TVL. The scale of the outflow suggests that broader market conviction around the ecosystem remains fragile despite $ARB’s recent upside.Source: DeFiLlama
Data also showed TVL slipping by an additional 0.24% over the past 24 hours to roughly $1.57 billion at the time of writing.

Stablecoin liquidity has followed a similar trend. Since May 1, more than $1 billion in stablecoins has reportedly moved out of the Arbitrum network, highlighting a broader reduction in deployable capital across the chain.

Liquidity outflows of this magnitude often point to weakening confidence in a network’s near-term outlook, particularly when compared with competing blockchain ecosystems attracting fresh inflows.
