Such a massive jump in transactions indicated growing network usage. Over this period, the network’s active addresses went from 100K for most of 2025 to a new floor of 500K to 700K.

‘Launch is soon’ – Bitwise updates Spot HYPE ETF filing, rally next?



Hyperliquid [HYPE]

Hyperliquid could soon gain an extra investor base as its U.S Spot HYPE ETF debut looks imminent. 

According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, Bitwise updated its Spot HYPE ETF filing, including a ticker BHYP and a fee 0.67%. Per Balchunas, such updates “typically mean a launch is soon,” adding that, 

HYPE is up 200% in the past year, so they’re probably trying to strike while iron hot

Bitwise first filed for the product in September 2025. A month later, 21Shares followed suit and made a similar application.

In March 2026,

Grayscale joined the fray, bringing the total number of issuers to three. Both Bitwise and Grayscale plan to include a HYPE staking feature in the future. 

If approved, HYPE will join BTC, Ethereum [ETH], and Solana [SOL] as top crypto assets that enjoy massive interest from treasury firms and ETF investors. 

Will Hyperliquid’s priority fees boost HYPE?

In another development, Hyperliquid is testing a feature that would allow traders who want faster execution to pay a little fee (priority fees) for HIP-3 trades (oil, gold, and other non-crypto assets). 

This would be a welcome update that is already live on most Solana apps like Jupiter [JUP], which grants the most advanced traders and firms priority order execution.

This became a game-changer, reducing the infamous Solana network congestion. In return, the charged priority fees, paid in SOL, are shared with validators.

Stringent internet and crypto regulations continue to tighten in China. Amid these stricter rules, new crypto news emerged: Apple reportedly removed Bitchat from its Chinese App Store. It is a decentralized messaging app created by Block CEO Jack Dorsey.

Notably, the move followed China’s internet regulator, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), raising concerns about the application. Jack Dorsey shared an X post, revealing the crypto news. He wrote, “Bitchat pulled from the China App Store.”

According to the CAC, Bitchat broke rules for online services that could influence public opinion or organize social activity. The agency stated that applications are required to undergo security checks before launch.

Apple told Dorsey that both the App Store version and the TestFlight beta would no longer be available in China. However, the app is still accessible in other countries.





It is worth noting that the crypto news comes on the heels of Jack Dorsey’s recent hint at the revival of a Bitcoin Faucet. His platform, Block, may soon introduce a Bitcoin Faucet that provides free BTC to help users get started with crypto.

The trigger wasn’t just selling pressure — it was what onchain data revealed underneath.
Wallets linked to World Liberty Financial reportedly deposited around 5 billion WLFI tokens into the DeFi lending platform Dolomite, using them as collateral to borrow approximately $75 million in stablecoins (USD1 and USDC).
A portion of those borrowed funds was later moved to Coinbase Prime, further intensifying scrutiny of the position.
The structure quickly became a focal point for traders and analysts.
At the center of the debate is a simple but controversial idea: using a project’s own token as large-scale collateral to borrow liquidity. Critics argue this can amplify downside risk, especially when the token itself has limited liquidity depth.
Concerns raised by market participants include:
Potential liquidation pressure if WLFI price weakens further
Thin liquidity relative to large collateral size
Circular exposure between token value and borrowing power

BTC and ETH Rally Traced to New Long Positions, Says CryptoQuant

Dollar-denominated open interest for both assets reached levels not seen in nearly a month. Bitcoin (Bitcoin) rose roughly 4% and Ethereum (Ethereum) gained approximately 6% within 24 hours of President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire late Tuesday, marking the strongest single-day move for both assets in over a month. CryptoQuant said the rally was driven by new long positions in perpetual futures markets, not by short liquidations.

Julio Moreno, head of research at CryptoQuant, said in a Thursday report that open interest in Bitcoin perpetual futures rose by $2.1 billion and open interest in Ethereum perpetual futures climbed by $2.2 billion within the 24 hours following the ceasefire announcement. Dollar-denominated open interest for both assets reached levels not seen in nearly a month.

"This synchronized surge across both major assets reflects macro-event-driven positioning, with traders front-running an anticipated improvement in broader risk sentiment," Moreno wrote. He noted that coin-denominated open interest also increased for both assets, ruling out short liquidations as the primary cause and confirming that traders were establishing net new long positions.

Bitcoin Can Be Quantum-Safe Now, Says StarkWare Researcher

The scheme replaces the standard elliptic curve digital signature algorithm used in Bitcoin transactions with what Levy describes as a hash-to-sig puzzle
A StarkWare researcher has proposed a method for making Bitcoin (Bitcoin) transactions resistant to quantum computing attacks without requiring any change to the existing protocol. Avihu Levy, chief product officer at StarkWare, published the proposal Thursday under the name Quantum Safe Bitcoin, or QSB, describing a transaction scheme he said would remain secure "even against an adversary with a large-scale quantum computer running Shor's algorithm."

The scheme replaces the standard elliptic curve digital signature algorithm used in Bitcoin transactions with what Levy describes as a hash-to-sig puzzle. Instead of relying on elliptic curve mathematics, which quantum computers could break using Shor's algorithm, a sender must find an input whose hash output resembles a valid ECDSA signature through brute-force computation, a process that quantum computers cannot meaningfully accelerate.

The proposal operates entirely within Bitcoin's existing legacy script constraints and requires no soft fork. That is also its primary limitation. Each transaction costs the sender between $75 and $150 in GPU compute, making QSB impractical for everyday use. The researchers acknowledged that the scheme is non-standard, does not scale to all users, and does not cover use cases such as the Lightning Network.

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson described the proposal as making Bitcoin quantum-safe today. Bitcoin ESG specialist Daniel Batten pushed back, calling that framing "an overstatement" on the basis that exposed public keys and dormant wallets "are not addressed in the paper."
