While most investors have since moved into the bullish camp, Faibik maintains a cautious and skeptical stance, arguing that the current uptrend is a short-term phenomenon that unlikely changes the long-term bearish outlook.

Last week, Bitcoin saw a massive rally, surging over 5% and only pulling back after hitting the $73,000 resistance mark. Following weeks of negative sentiment, this rebound naturally ignited optimism and provided much-needed relief to investors who had suffered significant losses.
​The Bearish Case Amidst Optimism
Despite the widespread optimism, Captain Faibik believes this move is not worth excessive celebration and insists on a highly conservative position. He judges that while the current upward trend may still have room to run—potentially reaching a peak between $77,000 and $78,000 due to liquidity in that zone—there are no other clear signals suggesting a definitive bullish reversal.
​The Risk of a 20% Correction
The analyst suggests that once Bitcoin completes its "liquidity grab" in that higher range, the subsequent move is likely to be downward, potentially triggering a 20% correction. According to his analysis, this could drive prices back down to the $54,000–$56,000 range. If this occurs, it would mean the digital asset could hit new lows for the current cycle, decisively breaking the critical $60,000 support level.

Second of all, you have to ask who would benefit from this blockchain creation. The third question you want to ask is why would they keep it secret?”

From there, Jiang argued that the likely candidates were US intelligence and defense agencies, citing the role government-linked institutions played in building foundational internet infrastructure. “Probably the same people who created the internet, probably the same people who created GPS, DARPA, NSA, CIA, probably these guys,” he said. Circle is facing a class action lawsuit from a group of Drift Protocol investors who lost money in the $280 million exploit on April 1, one of the largest hacks in DeFi history.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday by law firm Gibbs Mura, accused Circle Internet Financial of failing to act swiftly to freeze the stolen USDC (USDC) tied to the attack.

"Circle allegedly took no action to freeze the funds, despite having the technical and contractual authority to do so," the lawyers said in a statement on Wednesday.

Drift Protocol, a Solana-based decentralized exchange, suffered an exploit after an attacker gained unauthorized access to the platform, introduced a malicious asset, and removed withdrawal limits to drain the funds, the Drift team said. The incident gained more traction after Drift revealed the perpetrators had spent six months posing as a quantitative trading firm.

Onchain investigator ZachXBT has criticized Circle for not freezing USDC linked to the exploit quickly enough. "[Six] hours is how long Circle had to freeze stolen funds from the $280M+ Drift hack," ZachXBT wrote, alleging that the attacker moved over $230 million worth of USDC from Solana to Ethereum via Circle's cross-chain transfer protocol.

The lawsuit further alleged that, nine days earlier, Circle had frozen 16 unrelated wallets in a separate civil case, "demonstrating both the capability and willingness to act."
