Michael Saylor Revealed That His Company Has Made $1.3 Billion from Bitcoin in Just the Last Two Weeks



According to Michael Saylor, Strategy achieved significant profits from its Bitcoin ($BTC) strategy during the first two weeks of April 2026. Saylor stated that a total profit of 17,585 $BTC was made during this period, which is worth approximately $1.3 billion at current prices.

Saylor noted that this earnings measurement differs from the traditional accounting concept of “net profit,” but stated that, when evaluated within the framework of the “Bitcoin standard,” it is the closest indicator to net profit.

According to data shared by the company, as of April 15th, Strategy’s total $BTC holdings reached 780,897 $BTC. The current market value of this amount is estimated to be approximately $58.1 billion.

Developed by Strategy, the “Bitcoin Gain” metric stands out as one of the key indicators used to measure the company’s performance. This approach deviates from traditional financial reporting standards, offering investors a different value creation model. CryptoQuant said bitcoin's recent rally is facing rising profit-taking risk as exchange inflows spike and the price earlier reached the $76,000 resistance zone.

Bitcoin reached above $76,000 on Tuesday, reaching its highest level since early February. The move was supported by earlier undervaluation, a temporary easing in the U.S.-Iran conflict, and weakness in the U.S. dollar, CryptoQuant said in a Wednesday report written by its head of research, Julio Moreno.

The bitcoin price (BTC) has fallen a bit to $74,800 but is testing the traders' onchain realized price at $76,800, a major bear-market resistance level that has historically capped relief rallies as holders near breakeven are incentivized to sell, capping further upside, Moreno noted.

The S&P 500 finished up 0.8% and the Nasdaq 100 gained 1.4%, both all-time highs, capping a two-week rally from late March lows.

Ether led major tokens, up 8.1% on the week to $2,360, extending the outperformance against bitcoin that emerged earlier this week. XRP gained 3.6% to $1.41, dogecoin rose 4.8% to $0.098, and solana added 2.2% to $85.

The equity rally is running ahead of what other markets are willing to confirm. Long-end Treasury yields barely moved. Gold held near $4,800. Brent crude ticked up to $95 as the U.S. pressed ahead with a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which remains effectively closed.

"Stocks are basically expressing their view that the war in the Persian Gulf is all but over," Steve Sosnick, chief strategist at Interactive Brokers,

The overall market is also helping. Global tensions, especially between the U.S. and Iran, appear to be easing. This has pushed stock markets higher, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 hitting new highs.
