Ondo Finance just made one of the more consequential regulatory plays in crypto’s push toward traditional finance. The real-world asset tokenization firm submitted a no-action letter to the SEC on April 13, asking the agency to confirm that its Ondo Global Markets product can operate on Ethereum Mainnet without triggering enforcement action.

If the SEC grants the request, it would effectively greenlight a public blockchain as infrastructure for tokenized exposure to over 200 US-listed stocks and ETFs.

A no-action letter is the SEC’s way of saying “we see what you’re doing, and we won’t come after you for it.” It’s not formal approval, but in regulatory terms, it’s the next best thing. Companies use them to get clarity on novel structures that don’t fit neatly into existing rules.

Ondo’s specific request centers on its OGM product, which offers tokenized notes representing exposure to US equities and exchange-traded funds. The key detail: the underlying securities themselves stay within traditional custody frameworks, held by BitGo. The blockchain layer handles the token representation, not the actual asset custody.

The filing follows the SEC’s closure of a multi-year investigation into Ondo that ended without any charges. That clean bill of health likely gave the company confidence to push for explicit regulatory comfort rather than operating in ambiguity.The company has joined a DTCC consortium and plans to commence production trades within it by July 2026. Ondo’s approach mirrors prior no-action relief the SEC granted to the DTCC itself for tokenized securities. The company is essentially arguing that its model is complementary to what DTCC is already doing, not competitive with it.

Exodus has launched XO Cash, a new stablecoin built specifically for AI agents, as crypto firms race to build payment infrastructure for autonomous software systems.

The Omaha-based crypto wallet company announced the launch on 8 May, saying the product allows developers to give AI agents their own wallets and spending capabilities without handing over private keys.

XO Cash runs on Solana and was developed in partnership with MoonPay. The system includes “AgentKit,” a software development kit that enables developers to create agent wallets via a single API call.

The launch comes as AI-agent commerce emerges as one of crypto’s fastest-growing narratives. Several firms now want blockchain networks and stablecoins to power machine-to-machine payments, subscriptions, data purchases, and automated online services.

Exodus says XO Cash solves one of the biggest problems facing autonomous AI systems: secure access to money.

Under the setup, users keep custody of their assets while agents operate under predefined spending rules. Developers can set daily limits, merchant restrictions, transaction caps, and rate limits.

“Agents need to spend, and they shouldn’t have to manage keys to do it,” Exodus CEO JP Richardson said in the announcement.

The company also said each agent wallet can issue its own debit card through infrastructure built with MoonPay and Monavate. The cards work anywhere Visa is accepted.

XO Cash also supports automatic conversion into $USDC or USDT during payments, allowing agents to transact across different stablecoin ecosystems.

The launch adds Exodus to a growing list of firms targeting AI-driven payments infrastructure.

XRP’s waning price performance seems to have finally influenced the network’s activity, which has seen a notable cooldown in the month of May. Just a few days into May, the network is struggling to attract new wallet addresses. After over a year, new addresses have fallen to one of their lowest levels.

New XRP Addresses Drop Dramatically
The XRP network’s activity and its price are starting to move toward the same negative direction. While the recent momentum in price is slowly fading away, user growth across the network appears to have sharply cooled down.

The slowdown is a result of a significant drop in the number of new wallet addresses created on the network. According to the chart from Glassnode, a popular research and on-chain data analytics platform, the metric has fallen from its peak in late 2024. Currently, the tide of new user onboarding and involvement that formerly drove network growth has slowed in recent months.

Glassnode announced that new wallet addresses on the XRP network have collapsed from 18,000 XRP in a single day in December to about 2,700 XRP per day as of yesterday. This drop from the 2024 high to today’s levels represents a more than 85% decrease after over a year.

In the ever-evolving crypto market, new addresses are often linked to retail investors. Therefore, the declining new addresses’ activity points to a sign of weakening retail involvement, particularly during times of increased speculation and market excitement.

Amid this fading, new wallet addresses created on the XRP network, its monthly active supply is telling a different story. As reported by Glassnode, the monthly active supply is exhibiting bearish activity, dropping from 7.4 billion XRP per day to around 2 billion per day over the same period.

Social feeds made it look like the entire digital asset market took over conference halls and parts of major cities. So we asked the obvious question: did any of that noise actually make it into the traffic charts? To check, our latest Outset Data Pulse analysis tracked monthly visits across 274 crypto and Web3 media outlets in Asia and the United States from January 2025 through March 2026. How the conference effect was measured This report was not a basic surface-level comparison of total traffic during event months. Rather, every website was measured against its own normal pattern, not the rest of the market, because it doesn’t make sense for a small regional outlet to compare against a large global publisher. At the same time, a 10% move at one outlet may be normal, but a 10% move at another would be highly unusual. That’s why we used the z-score approach: each outlet’s traffic was converted into a z-score, which shows how meaningfully different a given month was for that specific outlet.
