Over the past 24 hours, WLFI jumped around 10%, with weekly gains climbing above 21%. But what makes this rally unusual is that it’s happening while the project remains surrounded by lawsuits, rumors, and growing controversy.
The biggest issue began in April when TRON founder Justin Sun filed a lawsuit against WLFI.
Sun claimed the company froze his WLFI tokens, blocked his governance rights, and even threatened to burn tokens he says are worth nearly $1 billion.
WLFI quickly fired back.
CEO Zach Witkoff called the lawsuit “meritless” and accused Sun of launching a coordinated campaign to damage the project’s reputation. WLFI later countersued Sun for defamation, escalating the conflict even further.
But the drama didn’t stop there.
Soon after, rumors started spreading online that WLFI was facing internal problems and may have even lost support from the Trump family itself.
At the Consensus conference in Miami, both Donald Trump Jr. and Witkoff publicly denied those claims. Trump Jr. argued that many of the negative narratives were being artificially pushed online through coordinated bot activity and media attacks.
And for a moment, the market appeared to believe them.
Investor confidence briefly returned, helping WLFI rally despite the ongoing controversy.
Still, bigger questions remain.
Even after the rebound, WLFI is still down over the past month, while the broader crypto market continues struggling. Bitcoin has once again fallen below the $80,000 level, and market sentiment remains fragile.
Right now, WLFI feels like more than just another crypto token.
It has become a mix of politics, power, media influence, and speculation — all colliding inside one project.
The real question is: Is this recovery the beginning of a comeback, or just a temporary bounce before the next wave of controversy?

Swiss-based financial giant UBS announced its investment in $XRP in a 13F filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Instead of holding $XRP directly, the bank invested in the Volatility Shares $XRP ETF and the Grayscale $XRP Trust.

According to the announcement, UBS holds 197,369 shares in the Volatility Shares $XRP ETF and 317 shares in the Grayscale $XRP Trust.

For investors, UBS’s announcement of its $XRP investment can be seen as a signal of increasing institutional confidence in $XRP as an asset class. Furthermore, the preference of institutions for ETFs and mutual funds over direct investment underscores the importance of regulatory compliance for large institutions.

Furthermore, according to experts, the inclusion of $XRP products in the portfolio of a large bank like UBS invalidates the notion that $XRP is solely a retail-focused asset. This is seen as a significant endorsement from institutional investors.
