The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is continuing its crackdown on illegal cryptocurrency ATMs. Therese Chambers, executive director of enforcement and market oversight at the FCA, said cryptocurrency ATMs that are not registered with the FCA are illegal and we will take action to stop illegal activity. the FCA said It has checked locations in Exeter, Nottingham and Sheffield with regional police. the FCA said devices that convert fiat currency into cryptocurrency are considered a money laundering threat and are not filed with the FCA as required by law.
