Bitcoin climbs 11% as accumulation enters day 11 – Is BTC’s bull run coming?

Bitcoin has mounted a notable recovery, climbing to $72,000 despite months of persistent negative sentiment across the market.

Current positioning points to a growing likelihood of a rebound, supported by evolving investor behavior and key market thresholds now in play.

Bitcoin posts sustained accumulation streak

The recent rally aligns closely with an extended phase of accumulation, reinforcing the strength behind the price move.

Data from the Accumulation/Distribution (A/D) indicator shows that approximately 3 million in Bitcoin [BTC] volume was accumulated over this period, which began on March 30. During this stretch, Bitcoin advanced by 11.16%.

This accumulation phase has emerged as Bitcoin trades within a bearish valuation zone, based on supply in profit metrics. At the time of writing, only 59% of the total Bitcoin supply remains in profit.

Historically, this range tends to coincide with elevated selling pressure, as stronger rallies usually begin when at least 75% of supply returns to profit.

However, the current trend suggests a shift in market positioning. Investors appear to be front-running a potential bottom, treating recent price levels as discounted entry points rather than exit opportunities.

Long-term conviction strengthens

On-chain data shows a sharp increase in exchange-withdrawing addresses over the past four days, reinforcing the accumulation narrative.

This metric tracks the number of wallets moving Bitcoin out of centralized exchanges into private storage. A sustained rise typically reflects reduced sell-side intent and a stronger long-term holding bias.

Between the 5th and the 9th of April, a total of 8,371 Bitcoin addresses withdrew their holdings from exchanges. This movement underscores growing conviction among investors positioning for longer-term upside.

Avalanche has experienced a massive surge in on-chain activity and network usage. According to Nansen, Avalanche’s daily transactions have surged to 3.5 million, the highest level in the past year.

Such a massive jump in transactions indicated growing network usage. Over this period, the network’s active addresses went from 100K for most of 2025 to a new floor of 500K to 700K.

Nansen noted three major factors that primarily drove this network growth. Firstly, Grayscale launched GAVA, an AVAX staking ETF on Nasdaq, creating a link for institutional investors.

Secondly, the SEC and CFTC classified AVAX as a digital commodity, thus bringing regulatory clarity. Finally, Broadridge brought proxy voting on-chain, allowing on-chain building.

When active addresses and transactions rise in tandem, it suggests strengthening fundamentals through real usage rather than speculation.

In fact, the network has seen a surge in real users, as evidenced by the Sybil and Non-Sybil metrics. This metric showed that non-Sybil users have climbed from 5k to 49k over the past four months.

Therefore, network growth is driven by actual, unique users, while bot activity declines significantly. Traditionally, increased network activity has supported price growth.

Market demand is gradually recovering
Interestingly, as network activity rises, AVAX has seen significant demand across the market, especially from large entities.

On the spot side, for example, buyers have shown relative strength in recent weeks. Over the past three days, the altcoin recorded $49 million in outflows compared to $45.9 million in inflows.

As a result, the Spot Netflow has remained negative, dropping by 180% to -$3.06 million, a clear sign of aggressive spot accumulation.

On April 8, asset management firm Canary Capital submitted a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to issue the first spot exchange-traded fund linked to Pepecoin. If approved, the new product will be launched as Canary $PEPE ETF.

After the success of Bitcoin ETFs, which currently hold $56.85 billion in total net inflows, many leading financial institutions are rushing to issue ETFs for other cryptocurrencies. This filing will allow regular investors to buy shares through normal brokerage accounts and gain direct exposure to the price of the popular memecoin.
