From Crypto Exchange to Multi-Asset Platform
MEXC says the global financial system is increasingly converging, yet access barriers—such as trading fees, fragmented markets, and regional restrictions—continue to limit participation.
To address this, the platform is doubling down on its zero-fee trading model, aiming to make global markets more accessible to users regardless of location or capital size.
According to the company, its 0-fee structure has already returned over $1 billion in value to users in the past year alone.
A Rebrand That Signals a Bigger Shift
As part of the upgrade, MEXC introduced a redesigned logo that evolves from the original “M” into a more fluid and open symbol.

Michael Saylor's Bitcoin treasury firm Strategy has added another $1 billion worth of Bitcoin to its holdings, with the latest purchase financed through its STRC preferred stock offering.

Strategy snatched up an additional 13,927 Bitcoin for roughly $1 billion at an average price of $71,902 per coin between April 6 and April 12, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-marking its fourth-largest weekly purchase so far this year.

The latest purchase lifts the Tysons Corner, Virginia-based firm's total stash to 780,897 BTC, accumulated for roughly $59.02 billion at an average cost basis of $75,577. For context, that represents more than 3.7% of Bitcoin's capped 21 million supply, implying about $3.6 billion in unrealized losses at current price levels.

Strategy funded its latest purchases by selling over 10 million shares of its variable-rate preferred shares, STRC, last week, raising about $1 billion.

According to the survey of 1,312 Israeli adults (conducted April 9–10, margin of error 3.2%):
41% support honoring the ceasefire
39% favor continuing military strikes on Iran
19% remain undecided
The results suggest a near-even split in public sentiment, with no clear consensus on how Israel should proceed.
Ceasefire Holds, But Regional Conflict Continues
While the agreement has paused direct U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran, fighting in the broader region remains active.

Political Pressure Builds on Netanyahu
The survey also reflects declining political support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel’s upcoming election in October.

A major dispute has erupted in the crypto space between Justin Sun and World Liberty Financial (WLFI), raising fresh concerns over transparency in DeFi protocols.
Justin Sun publicly accused WLFI of embedding a hidden blacklist function in its token smart contract, claiming it allows the team to freeze, restrict, or effectively confiscate user assets without notice or consent. He described the mechanism as a “trapdoor disguised as openness” and said he himself is the “first and largest victim,” with his wallet allegedly frozen since September 2025, holding around 545 million WLFI tokens.
WLFI quickly pushed back, rejecting the allegations and accusing Sun of “playing the victim” while engaging in misconduct. The project even hinted at legal action, responding with: “See you in court.”
The dispute comes amid WLFI’s broader market pressure, with its token recently hitting record lows and concerns growing over governance practices and a reported $75M stablecoin borrowing move backed by its own token.

BNB Chain Flags Critical Update Ahead of April 28 Hard Fork



The countdown for the Osaka/Mendel hard fork has begun. In this light, $BNB Chain developers' X account issues a notice to node operators on a mandatory update to perform before April 28.

The Osaka/Mendel hard fork will launch on the BSC mainnet 16 days from now, on April 28 at 2:30 a.m. UTC.

Before the Osaka/Mendel fork (April 28, 02:30 UTC), make sure your node is ready:
• Upgrade to BSC v1.7.2
• Binary replacement is enough
• Clean up old config fields

Ahead of the Osaka/Mendel fork, node operators need to get their nodes in order and upgrade to BSC v1.7.2. It is also important to ensure that binary replacement is properly set up and to clean up any outdated configuration fields. This is to prevent their nodes from losing sync.

The Osaka mainnet upgrade comes about a month after its launch on testnet. On March 24, the Osaka/Mendel hard fork was activated on the BSC testnet at block 88,379,325. The upgrade brought about more reliable block construction, improved transaction handling at scale, stronger network stability and execution accuracy.

Mendel introduces EIP-7825 via BEP-652, which adds a transaction gas limit cap at the protocol level.

BEP-652 suggests implementing a protocol-level limit on the maximum gas consumption for each transaction on BSC, capping it at 16,777,216 (or 2^24).

This ensures all nodes uniformly reject transactions exceeding the limit, which can better improve network stability and reliability compared to the prior approach of an optional soft cap mechanism.
