So far, the incident marks the largest DeFi hack of 2026, triggering emergency responses across multiple lending platforms. Kelp DAO Hack Linked To Broader Cross-Chain RisksMarket expert Iso Ledger has shared updates on the recent Kelp DAO hack, describing it as a major security breach that exposed risks across multiple DeFi platforms. In his post on X, he stated that Kelp DAO lost $292 million in just 46 minutes. He said the attacker funded a Tornado Cash wallet around 10 hours before the exploit began. He added that the amount represented 18% of the token’s circulating supply. The expert also stated that the attacker had immediately used the stolen rsETH as collateral on Aave V3 to borrow ETH, creating bad debt that the DeFi protocol would now need to absorb. Notably, Iso Ledger stated that Aave has responded immediately by freezing the rsETH markets on both V3 and V4. Bitcoin started the week with fresh pressure on both the short term and bigger picture charts. One chart shows price still trading under a falling resistance line, while another highlights a new CME gap above current levels, putting traders’ focus on whether $BTC can recover or stays stuck under key pressure zones.

Bitcoin Downtrend Claim Meets a Familiar Pattern

Ted Pillows says Bitcoin is still in a downtrend and that the rally is a bull trap. The chart shows short term weakness. However, it also shows a pattern seen in past cycles.

In each cycle, Bitcoin fell under a descending trendline after a peak. Then it broke that line, retested a key level, and moved higher. The marked circles show those retests. Therefore, the current structure does not stand apart from earlier corrections.

Still, the latest section keeps the bearish case alive. Price remains under a descending resistance line on the right side of the chart. Until Bitcoin breaks above that structure, the downtrend argument remains valid in the short term.

Even so, the broader chart does not fully support the bull trap call. The larger structure still looks like a correction within a long term uptrend, not a clear trend failure.

Crypto Investment Products Record $1.4B in Inflows as Bitcoin Surpasses $76K

Based on the market data, digital asset investment products have recorded $1.4B in inflows over the past week. Additionally, the leading crypto asset has also briefly crossed the $76K mark. At the same time, the total assets under management (AuM) merged to $155B, with flows underscoring 0.91% of AuM. This accounts for the highest 7-day intensity year-to-date.

Particularly, this consistent risk appetite upsurge occurs amid the ceasefire extension discussions between the U.S. and Iran. Additionally, March CPI at up to 3.3% year-on-year seems to have been examined, with the primary CPI being moderate at 2.6%, in line with a supply-led instead of the broad-based inflation pressure. Bitcoin has dominated the inflows by adding $1.116B, reaffirming its leading position as the core force driving the digital asset investment sentiment.

Following that, Ethereum ($ETH) has also witnessed noteworthy inflows, accounting for $328M. This figure denotes the 2nd-biggest crypto asset’s growing demand. When it comes to regional trajectory, the United States has emerged as the top jurisdiction with inflows hitting $1.5B. Additionally, Germany has added almost $28M, whereas Switzerland has diverged to a significant extent, witnessing $138M in total outflows.

Once again, the focus is on how Cardano strikes a compromise between decentralization and the requirement for unified leadership.

The pundit stated that in the past, the network was centered around the IOGs, the Cardano Foundation, and EMURGO, and its founder, Charles Hoskinson, was considered the leader. However, after the introduction of on-chain governance, the model evolved, breaking into two parts. These include DReps (governance decision-making) and Pentad (leadership and execution), which go hand-in-hand to produce a unified platform.

While DReps decide on Treasury spending, they also grant legitimacy to the strategy that Pentad offers because DReps are not coordinated. Since they cannot define the strategy and prioritize, on-chain governance is still dependent on the founding entities, indicating that the network remains strongly centralized in leadership and execution. These entities can offer their experience, knowledge, and expertise, but DReps will set the path from the ground up.
