The US government moved a small amount of bitcoin on April 10 from wallets that Arkham Intelligence linked to a criminal case. The transfer involved 2.438 BTC, worth about $177,000, sent to a Coinbase Prime address.

Arkham data showed two separate transactions from wallets labeled "U.S. Government: Glenn Olivio Seized Funds." Both transfers went to the same Coinbase address, beginning with 3EMqu.

Government-linked bitcoin transfers are not unusual. Federal agencies often move seized assets for custody, consolidation, or other handling during legal and administrative processes.

First Lady Melania Trump’s unexpected White House address forcefully denying any ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and her unprecedented call for congressional hearings for his victims has sparked a political firestorm.

In a surprise April 9 announcement, the first lady addressed reporters at the White House to categorically dismantle rumors regarding her past. She declared:

“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today.”

However, the politically charged statement has failed to lift market sentiment around the MELANIA token.
The first lady also took aim at what she described as “mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation” by individuals she called devoid of ethical standards.

Melania Trump's remarks were sweeping in their scope. She forcefully rebutted persistent online rumors that Epstein was the one who introduced her to Donald Trump.

“I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump,” she said, noting that her initial encounter with her husband occurred by chance at a New York City party in 1998, a meeting documented in her book, MELANIA. A book by Michael Wolff had claimed she was first introduced to her husband through a modeling agent tied to Epstein.

The first lady also clarified that her first encounter with Epstein was in 2000 at a shared event, noting that “overlapping in social circles is common in New York City and Palm Beach.”

In the crypto industry, the speed of innovation is often a crucial measure of a protocol's longevity. However, Uniswap, which once single-handedly ushered in the DeFi Summer, seems to be slowing down.

Looking back at Uniswap's evolution, its iteration pace has always been renowned for its rapid pace: V1, featuring an AMM mechanism, was launched in 2018; V2 introduced ERC-20/ERC-20 pairs in 2020; V3 introduced centralized liquidity in 2021; and V4 introduced programmable Hooks in 2023. On average, every 1.5 years, Uniswap would introduce a highly innovative mechanism, reshaping the flow of hundreds of billions of dollars.

However, time has frozen in April 2026, nearly three years after the announcement of the V4 solution, and the market still hasn't seen any news about the next version of Uniswap.

 Currently, Uniswap's product development revolves around Uniswap V4, which transforms Uniswap from a fixed-function AMM into a highly programmable liquidity platform. The core innovation of this version is Hooks, modular, programmable plugins that allow developers to insert custom logic throughout the pool's lifecycle. This includes implementing virtually unlimited functionalities such as dynamic fees, limit orders, TWAMM (Time-Weighted Market Maker), MEV protection, loss hedging, custom oracles, and Continuous Liquidation Auctions (CCA).

In other words, previously many developers needed to fork Uniswap to implement certain functionalities, leading to the fragmentation of Uniswap liquidity across various forked DEXs. Now, developers only need to write a single Hook contract to significantly enhance the customization capabilities of Uniswap liquidity pools.

The short-term rising channel that has been forming since the February lows remains the dominant structure on the 4-hour chart, with the asset currently at $71k. The $74-$76k area has recently rejected lower, and the market is at risk of a revisit to the lower boundary of the pattern, currently around $67k.

The RSI on this timeframe, however, has dropped significantly lower and is now below 50. While still not deeply into bearish territory, this suggests a potential short-term shift in momentum to bearish.

A confirmed close above $75k would invalidate the bearish scenario and lead to the price making a run toward the $80k level. On the other hand, a deeper drop and breakdown below the lower trendline would be more concerning, and could shift focus back to the $60k daily support zone.
