A recent report from Bernstein suggests that the Bitcoin market has already priced in much of the risk related to quantum computing. The firm believes that while the threat of quantum attacks is real, it is not an immediate danger to Bitcoin’s security.

Bitcoin has already experienced a significant correction from its all-time high, and analysts argue that this decline reflects broader concerns, including quantum-related fears. However, improvements in cryptography and privacy technologies are helping reduce some of this pressure.

According to Bernstein, Bitcoin developers still have time to design and implement a post-quantum upgrade path. Estimates suggest a window of around three to five years before quantum computing could become a serious threat to Bitcoin’s cryptographic system.

The report also highlights that institutional investors, including ETF issuers and large corporate holders, may play an important role in supporting and coordinating any future upgrade process. Their involvement could help build consensus across the Bitcoin network.

A key discussion in the industry is the introduction of proposals like BIP-360, which aim to reduce long-term quantum risks by modifying how Bitcoin outputs are structured. However, these solutions do not fully solve the issue of quantum-resistant signatures.

Experts also emphasize that the biggest challenge is not technical development but social coordination. Even if solutions are available, convincing millions of Bitcoin users to upgrade their wallets and migrate keys could take years.

Overall, the report suggests that while quantum computing is a serious long-term consideration, it is not currently an immediate threat, and the Bitcoin network still has time to adapt.

Aave DAO approves $25 million Aave Labs funding grant in binding 'Aave Will Win' vote
An onchain proposal funding the first piece of the “Aave Will Win” framework passed Sunday, with 522,780 AAVE in favor and 175,310 against, or roughly 75% support.

The vote approves a $25 million stablecoin grant to Aave Labs, alongside 75,000 AAVE (about $6.8 million) vesting linearly over 48 months from the DAO’s Ecosystem Reserve.

The Aave Chan Initiative cast the largest dissenting vote at 166,200 AAVE, in line with founder Marc Zeller’s prior opposition.

Execution is scheduled for Monday afternoon, after which funds begin streaming to an Aave Labs-controlled address.

The Aave DAO on Sunday approved the first binding piece of founder Stani Kulechov's "Aave Will Win" framework, ratifying a $25 million stablecoin grant and 75,000 AAVE (worth about $6.8 million) token allocation to development firm Aave Labs.

The Aave Improvement Proposal, titled "Aave Will Win Framework: Primary Funding Request," closed with 522,780 votes in favor and 175,310 against, according to data from the Aave governance dashboard. The roughly 75% supporting share marks a substantial improvement from the contested temp check in early March, which cleared with 52.58% support in a vote critics alleged was tilted by Aave Labs-linked addresses.

The grant consists of an immediate 5 million aEthLidoGHO allowance (a yield-bearing stablecoin), a 5 million aEthLidoGHO stream over six months, and a 15 million aEthLidoGHO stream over 12 months from the DAO's Collector Contract. The 75,000 AAVE allocation will stream from the Ecosystem Reserve over 48 months, double the 24-month vesting schedule outlined in the original temp check.

The Aave Chan Initiative, the leading governance service provider founded Marc Zeller, cast 166,200 AAVE against the proposal, the largest single dissenting vote.

According to the latest report, Bitwise has taken a step closer toward the launch of its proposed spot Hyperliquid (HYPE) exchange-traded fund (ETF) after filing a second amendment with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bitwise Updates List Of Countertrading Parties In Hyperliquid ETF Filing
On Friday, April 10th, Bitwise submitted its second amendment to its spot Hyperliquid with the SEC, introducing new names to the list of approved trading counterparties ahead of an imminent launch in the US. This latest filing included FalconX, Flowdesk, Nonco, and Wintermute as approved trading counterparties for the asset manager.

Earlier in its first amendment filing in December 2025, Bitwise revealed the fund’s BHYP ticker, an annual management fee of 0.67%, and a proposal to generate additional profit through HYPE staking. Also, the asset management fund had listed three trading counterparties at the time, including A1 (now dropped off), Nonco, and Solios (disclosed as a d/b/a of FalconX).

In a post on the social media platform, Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas highlighted the second amendment filing, saying that this latest update suggests that the fund’s launch might be imminent. Despite competition from two other asset managers, Bitwise looks set to win the race for the first spot ETF linked to Hyperliquid’s native token, HYPE.

21Shares followed with an application of its own to launch a Hyperliquid ETF in October 2025, while Grayscale submitted its own filing in late March 2026. Upon approval (which looks like a matter of when rather than if), Bitwise’s HYPE ETF will debut on the NYSE Arca stock exchange and offer investors exposure to the spot price of Hyperliquid.
