Native hosts private Paris Blockchain Week gathering for founders, investors, and builders. Native, a payments and liquidity infrastructure company that works with institutions, fintechs, and enterprises, brought together 30 builders, founders, and investors for a closed-door evening during Paris Blockchain Week on April 15. The gathering, called The Limestone Hour, ran inside a wine cellar built in the 18th century and tucked beneath the Louvre. The 30 seats went to people working in stablecoin infrastructure, OTC and market-making, and crypto card programs. Over three hours, they moved through an 18-course cocktail program and a curated wine tasting while talking shop about the direction of European institutional crypto. Paris Blockchain Week partnered with Native on the event. Each invitation matched one of Native’s three business lines, and the room gave the company a focused read on the market it plans to grow into over the next year. The main conference drew institutional investors, founders, and regulators to the Carrousel du Louvre across two days. This year’s theme, “The Bridge Between TradFi and Digital Assets,” captured the direction of travel across most of the sessions. For Native, the week opened doors to enterprise clients, fintechs, and ecosystem partners that the company wants to bring into its pipeline across Europe. Native runs stablecoin infrastructure as the foundation of the business, with payment rails that route value between fintechs, payment firms, and enterprise treasury operations.  A market-making desk operates above that layer and serves institutional clients who need deep liquidity and programmatic execution on stablecoin pairs and major crypto assets.  Crypto cards complete the offering, available directly and through white-label arrangements for brands that want to add crypto spend without building the backend themselves.

Over two days, the address sold about 497 $ETH worth roughly $1.14 million and accumulated approximately 3.84 billion Asteroid Shiba [ASTEROID] with the price near $0.00029.

This move stood out because it is not passive accumulation.

It reflects a deliberate shift from a large-cap asset into a micro-cap, which signals a higher risk appetite and a search for outsized returns.

This concentration affects price behavior.

In a thin market, sustained buying can push prices higher faster than usual. However, the same structure increases fragility, as exits can reverse gains just as quickly.

The remaining 368 Ethereum [$ETH] adds uncertainty. It suggests the whale may continue accumulating, which extends upward pressure, yet it also leaves room for a staged exit.

This implies the market may see short-term momentum, while participants face higher volatility and timing risk.

Thin liquidity amplifies price swings

As the whale rotation directs over $1 million from $ETH into Asteroid Shiba, the price begins to react sharply, which signals a liquidity-driven move. This shift happens as capital seeks higher upside, moving from large-cap stability into a thin, high-risk market.

The structure then shapes the reaction.

With only about $7.6 million in liquidity against a $165 million valuation, depth remains limited. As volume rises near $88 million, flows begin to dominate price, which pushes rapid gains through shallow pools.

This buildup creates momentum, yet it lacks broad participation. As a result, the price reflects concentrated demand rather than sustained market interest.

While the market structure remains bearish, participants in the spot market, especially whales, have attempted to absorb the selling pressure.

DEXE whales have remained active on the spot and are actively buying. The Spot Average Order Size data from CryptoQuant showed an increase in large whale orders around $12.

While these orders could be on either the buy or sell side, Spot Taker CVD suggests these whales have been aggressively accumulating. In fact, this metric also shows increased buy orders at $12 the past two days, which coincided with the market drop.



Thus, whale demand remains consistent, thus offering the market a lifeline. With whales positioning, demand could hold $12 support and reclaim $14.7 resistance, setting the stage for a significant rebound.

Strategy has added 34,164 Bitcoin in a single week, paying roughly $2.54 billion at an average price of $74,395 per coin between April 13 and April 19. The purchase lifts the company’s total holdings to 815,061 BTC, acquired at an overall average cost of $75,527.

The entire position, valued at $61.56 billion at the time of purchase, now has a market value of $61.25 billion and an unrealized loss of $325 million. It marks Strategy’s largest weekly addition in one year and five months, underscoring Michael Saylor’s continued commitment to building the largest corporate Bitcoin treasury.

The buying has been methodical. In the weeks leading up to this latest tranche, Strategy purchased 13,927 BTC on April 13, 4,871 on April 6, 1,031 on March 23, and 22,337 on March 16, among others. Smaller acquisitions in February and January – ranging from several hundred to more than 22,000 coins – have kept the accumulation on a steady quarterly cadence, gradually increasing reserves while the company reports a 5.6% Bitcoin yield year-to-date.

Coinbase Institutional noted that corporate treasuries, including Strategy, have quadrupled their share of the total Bitcoin supply to more than 4% over the past two years, with Strategy alone holding 780,897 BTC before the latest addition. Such persistent buying may tighten liquid supply beyond what many investors anticipate, especially if it coincides with a technical breakout.

That said, long-term holder accumulation and coins leaving exchanges could reinforce this effect, potentially amplifying moves by breakout traders, systematic funds, and momentum algorithms. At the same time, anticipated ETF flows, miner selling, and derivatives hedging might blunt the immediate price impact in any single session.
