The XWIN Research Japan report makes a point worth understanding before drawing conclusions about Bitcoin’s relative weakness. The equity rally that has pushed the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to all-time highs is not the product of solved inflation or aggressive rate cuts. It is a repricing of tail risks — the market breathing out as geopolitical tensions ease and energy shock fears recede.

That is a meaningful distinction, because it means liquidity conditions are still tight and the conditions for a broad, sustained risk-on move have not fully materialized.

Capital flows through global markets in a fairly consistent sequence. Oil and commodities move first, followed by the dollar and interest rates, then equities absorb the shift, and finally the later-cycle assets — Bitcoin among them — receive what flows downstream. Right now, equities are at the front of that chain and crypto is still waiting its turn. That is not a failure. It is a position in a queue.

What makes the current setup interesting is what is happening beneath Bitcoin’s price in the meantime. Exchange reserves continue declining, accumulation is ongoing, and the structural on-chain picture is quietly improving even as price remains below key resistance levels. The report describes this as a pre-breakout phase — the conditions are building without the confirmation yet arriving.

Bitcoin’s lag behind equities, in this reading, is not a signal that something is wrong. It is a signal about timing. The structure is being built. The catalyst that sends capital down the chain is the variable still outstanding.

Over the past few days, the Ethena ($ENA) token has recorded multiple gains in the range of 8% to 15%, lifting its price from around $0.09 to approximately $0.11.

This steady climb reflects a broader shift in short-term sentiment, with bulls gradually regaining control after weeks of weakness.

What stands out now is how price action is approaching a level that many consider decisive: $0.12.

Ethena ($ENA) bullish momentum builds

$ENA is now trading above its 20-day moving average near $0.0909 and its 50-day moving average around $0.0992.

Holding above both levels typically signals that short and medium-term momentum has turned positive.

Over a 7-day period, $ENA has gained more than 20%, with a single-day move of 15% today.

Still, the bigger picture is not fully bullish yet. $ENA remains well below its 200-day moving average, which sits close to $0.23.

This highlights the distance the asset still needs to cover before any long-term trend reversal can be confirmed.

For now, the $0.12 level has emerged as the immediate barrier.

Price has tested this zone but has not yet secured a strong close above it.

Until that happens, the rally remains in a build-up phase rather than a confirmed breakout.

Technical signals point to a possible breakout

Several technical patterns suggest that $ENA is nearing a turning point.

One of them is the formation of a “bullish gap,” created when the price jumped quickly on strong demand.

Such gaps often indicate aggressive buying, though they can also be revisited if momentum slows.

In addition, some traders are pointing to a “Power of Three” structure, a pattern that moves through accumulation, manipulation, and expansion phases.

Based on current price behaviour, $ENA appears to be transitioning into the expansion phase, where breakouts typically occur.

Crypto-linked stocks surged Friday, led by a sharp rally in beaten-down digital asset treasury firms, as progress toward ending the Iran war jolted risk assets, sending bitcoin to a two-month high of $78,000.

U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post that Iran committed to keeping open the Strait of Hormuz, a key artery for global energy markets.

"Iran has just announced that the Strait… is fully open and ready for full passage," Trump said in a Truth Social post, adding that peace talks between the countries were progressing. Reports that the U.S. is considering unfreezing $20 billion in Iranian assets and Trump's remarks about acquiring Iran's enriched uranium further boosted sentiment.

As the headlines helped calm fears of a prolonged energy shock, crude oil tanked 13% to near $80 per barrel.

Risk-on signal

"The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is the risk-on signal the global markets have been waiting for," said Matt Mena, senior crypto research strategist at digital 21shares.

"By removing one of the most significant geopolitical chokepoints in the world, Iran has effectively uncorked a massive wave of liquidity and investor confidence," he added. "With oil nose diving below $85 for the first time in a month, inflation fears may finally come to an end."

Bitcoin climbed to $78,000, breaking out from a two-month range that capped prices since early February and up nearly 5% over the past 24 hours.

The move rippled across the broader cryptocurrency prices higher, with major altcoins ether (ETH), Solana (SOL) and $XRP ($XRP) posting 4%-5% gains.

Looking at crypto-related equities, the biggest winners were crypto treasury firms — companies that hold digital assets on their balance sheets — which had been heavily battered in recent months.
