TRUMP memecoin drops as team moves 7.59mln tokens – More downside ahead?

$TRUMP memecoin has continued to decline, falling to $2.81 after rejection at $3.11 and $3 support failed to hold.

As of this writing, Official Trump [$TRUMP] traded at $2.83, down 5.63% on the daily charts, extending its month-long downtrend.

Memecoin $TRUMP team moves 7.59 million worth $21.8 million

Despite the extended and stubborn market weakness, the Trump team has signaled another potential sale.

According to Onchain Lens, the $TRUMP team sent 7.59 million $TRUMP, worth $21.81 million, into BitGo Custody.

For now, these tokens have not been sold. However, the team previously moved tokens to the wallet and then deposited them into exchanges.

If the previously observed pattern reemerges, the token will likely be sold. Selling pressure from the team, especially now with $TRUMP under extreme stress, will cause downside pressure.

The memecoin is under strong selling pressure

While the team’s transfers have yet to hit exchanges, market participants are aggressively selling $TRUMP.

This suggests that sellers are currently the dominant players in the market. In fact, the Buy Sell Volume metric confirms this seller dominance.

According to Coinalyze data, Official Trump [$TRUMP] saw 245 million in Sell Volume over the past 30 days, compared to 227 million.

As a result, the memecoin has recorded net buying of -182 million and a delta of -13 million. Negative net buying and delta are clear signs of aggressive spot selling.

Traditionally, increased selling in the spot market has further stretched the market, increasing downside risk.

On the Futures side, sentiment remains the same. CoinGlass data showed that sellers have dominated the futures market.

This week in crypto started with a rally after the ceasefire news helped Bitcoin go above $75k. But volatility came back as tensions around the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S.–Iran conflict continued.

Amid this environment, the market split in performance. A few coins saw strong inflows and managed to hold gains, while others faced heavy selling pressure and recorded significant losses.

Weekly winners

DeXe [$DEXE] – Decentralized asset broke a key resistance

DeXe [$DEXE] led this week’s gains with a 50%+ rally.

Notably, this comes after ten straight green weeks, reinforcing a strong bullish structure. This week’s move, however, was important on the chart.

From the technical standpoint, $DEXE broke above the $13 resistance level, which it had previously lost during the pre-October crash last year. The breakout has also brought in some FOMO, with traders now eyeing potential continuation into next week.

But it’s not fully one-way momentum.

The RSI is now in overbought territory, which usually signals the move is getting a bit overheated and could cool off. On top of that, price is approaching the $15 resistance zone, a level it hasn’t reclaimed since early June 2025, so that’s the next key test.

Taken together, an overheated RSI and nearby resistance suggest $DEXE’s next move depends on whether it can break through this level. Overall, the weekly trend still looks bullish, but some caution is clearly needed.

Ethena surges 14%, tests resistance as bulls target breakout

A 14% price jump in Ethena [ENA] has pushed the asset toward a key resistance level with a history of reversals.

Despite this make-or-break zone, experts’ bold projections and rising accumulation among the top 100 holders suggest that ENA could potentially break above this prolonged barrier this time. 

As of this writing, ENA was up 14.22% over the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.123.

With the rising price, market participants have shown notable interest in the asset, as trading volume climbed 72% to $283.55 million during the same period.

On the daily chart, ENA appears bullish, as it has recently broken out of a descending channel pattern. However, due to the key resistance at $0.1345, the price seems to be struggling to continue its rally.

The daily chart shows that ENA has been facing this resistance since the beginning of February 2026.

The current price action suggests that if ENA successfully breaks above this key level, it could potentially see a price jump of over 45% and reach the $0.198 level.

However, if it fails to do so, the possibility of a significant decline could arise.

At press time, technical indicators Money Flow Index (MFI) and Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) were at 86.01 and -0.02, respectively, indicating that the asset was in an overbought zone with weakening capital inflows.

This points to a potential slowdown or short-term correction in price momentum.

Even though the price has dipped slightly in the short term, the bigger picture looks more optimistic. Over the past week, XRP has climbed more than 7%, outperforming several major cryptocurrencies and catching the attention of both retail and institutional investors.
A key driver behind this move is the surge in institutional interest. ETF inflows tied to XRP have reached their highest levels of 2026, signaling stronger confidence from larger players. This kind of steady capital flow is often seen as a foundation for sustained upward trends.
At the time of writing, XRP is trading around $1.43, down about 2–3% on the day and slightly lower over the past month. However, the recent weekly gains suggest that bullish sentiment is still intact despite short-term pullbacks.
Adding to the narrative, analyst ChartNerd highlighted a long-term trendline that XRP has respected for years. Each time the price has approached this level, it has found support and bounced back—often leading to strong rallies.
This pattern has repeated multiple times over the past six years, making it a key structure for traders to watch. Now in 2026, XRP is once again nearing that same trendline, raising expectations of another potential move higher.
According to ChartNerd, the current setup even resembles previous cycles, including the structure seen before XRP’s major breakout in 2017.

Charles Schwab is bringing Bitcoin to its 39 million clients – but without the protections they expect

Charles Schwab announced this week that it will begin selling Bitcoin and Ethereum directly to its 39 million brokerage clients. They will appear in the same account view as stocks, ETFs, and retirement funds, in the same app, under the same brand, one click from the S&P 500 index fund a customer bought for their IRA.

What makes that arrangement so consequential is that the assets will arrive in one of the most familiar and trusted environments in American finance, while carrying a very different set of protections from what customers are used to seeing there.

Schwab's own disclosures say so plainly: the cryptocurrencies sold on its platform are not deposits, not FDIC-insured, not SIPC-protected, not backed by any central bank, and carry the risk of total loss of principal. That gap, between how crypto will feel to a Schwab customer and what it actually is, is the most consequential thing here. It is also the clearest illustration yet of the way crypto is entering mainstream American finance.

Charles Schwab's crypto rollout, and what it actually changes

The product, called Schwab Crypto, will begin a phased launch in the coming weeks. At launch, it will support only two assets: Bitcoin and Ethereum, which together account for roughly three-quarters of the total crypto market cap.

While a big part of the crypto industry lamented the exclusion of altcoin heavyweights like Solana and XRP, the short list of supported coins is a smart and calculated decision. A company managing $12.2 trillion in client assets has every reason to avoid the headline risk that would come with a more speculative token imploding inside a retirement account.
