It is a metaverse infrastructure and content provider, aiming to create an open metaverse that includes both technological and content components. The key technological components include: The Root Network (a blockchain created for metaverse apps, Substrate-based layer 1, PoS mechanism) + FuturePass (an identity protocol) + a generative AI protocol and platform + communication protocols + character creation technology + payment. The project was initially established by the merger of 11 different companies. By the end of 2022, it had been consolidated into a group of 8 companies, with 3 more joining afterwards. The 11 companies are: game studio @_alteredphoenix, AI provider @altstatemachine, multi-chain payment product connected with the MasterCard network @immersve, design studio @NF_Labs, animation studio Shadows Interactive, digital payment system @centrapay, decentralized digital identity protocol and asset custody protocol developer Centrapass, decentralized communication system developer @sylo, Web3 automotive community @ATEMCarClub, venture studio @centralityai, and digital streetwear community DRx. The Root Network features a unique multi-token economy with tokens capable of optimizing gas and initial user guidance. He also works part-time in several other companies. Shara Senderoff: COO. Shara is an experienced venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Her firm, Raised in Space, manages over $40 million in capital and 20 portfolio companies. Shara has been recognized as one of Forbes' 30 Under 30, Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business, and Rolling Stone's Future 25, among others.
Funding: Its $52 million series A funding round was led by 10T Fund with contributions from Ripple, Animoca Brands, Coinbase Ventures, Outlier Ventures, Blockchain Founders Fund, Warner Music Group, DACM Liquid Venture Fund Inc, Airtree VC, and TCG Crypto ASM LLC.
