What is Gatechain (GT)

1. Project Introduction
GT is the native token of GateChain, a next-generation public blockchain focused on asset security and decentralized trading. It introduces innovative features such as on-chain hot insurance accounts and a clearing guarantee mechanism to address key industry challenges like asset theft, private key loss, DEX operations, and cross-chain transfers. GT was issued in 2019 and became the platform token of Gate.io in March 2020. It had an initial supply of 1 billion tokens, of which 700 million have been burned. The current max circulating supply is 300 million.
