Bitcoin payments company Strike has announced a major expansion and relocation of its headquarters to El Salvador. The company plans to expand to a total of 65 global markets, while also moving its headquarters to the country where Bitcoin is legal tender. CEO Jack Mallers highlighted the simplicity of the Strike app, which uses the Bitcoin Lightning Network for faster and cheaper transactions. The decision to relocate was due to increasing regulatory pressure and a lack of clarity in the United States, where the company is currently facing hurdles.
