Polymarket's trading volume in March was approximately $23 billion, a tenfold increase compared to the same period last year, and it is currently raising funds at a valuation of $20 billion, up from a valuation of $9 billion in October. Kalshi completed its funding in March at a valuation of $22 billion. Both platforms are facing scrutiny from lawmakers in multiple U.S. states, who believe that prediction markets effectively circumvent state laws on illegal gambling.
