Fairyproof: Pool 678 on Osmosis attacked, amounting to perhaps $5 million

06/08 20:33

Pool 678, deployed on the Osmosis blockchain, has been attacked. Due to the vulnerability, the OSMO-USDC transaction pairs in the pool are likely to be exploited. By exploiting this vulnerability, a user could exit the pool and receive an additional 50% of the assets initially deposited in the pool. A user can join the pool by depositing USDC and OSMO into the pool and obtaining GAMM-678 tokens. They can then withdraw from the pool by depositing the same number of GAMM-678 tokens they have received into the pool. Afterwards, not only will they receive the number of USDCs and OSMOs initially deposited into the pool, but they will also receive an additional 50% of these tokens.
