Swiss National Bank's U.S. Stock Holdings Reach Record High; Top Three Positions Are Nvidia, Apple and Microsoft

On August 11, in the second quarter of this year, the Swiss National Bank's foreign exchange reserves held in the form of U.S. stocks increased by more than 10%, reaching an all-time high. According to the so-called 13F filing submitted by the Swiss National Bank to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, released on Tuesday, as of June 30, the bank held positions in more than 2,300 U.S.-listed companies worth $191.4 billion. Slightly more than one quarter of the Swiss National Bank's foreign exchange reserves are held in equities, a portion of which is invested in U.S.-listed stocks. The top three holdings were Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft. The central bank also held a $716.6 million stake in defense software company Palantir Technologies Inc.
