Founders Fund Raises $6 Billion in Largest Fundraising Since Inception

On May 3, Bloomberg reported that Founders Fund, co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel, has completed a new round of fundraising for its flagship fund, totaling $6 billion, significantly surpassing its previous fund of approximately $3.4 billion. According to insiders, the fund will focus on high-growth areas such as AI, defense technology, cryptocurrency, aerospace, and frontier technology. The report noted that despite the overall downturn in the Silicon Valley VC market, Founders Fund has still attracted substantial institutional investment, reflecting ongoing optimism in the AI and hard tech sectors. The firm has previously invested in well-known companies such as SpaceX, Palantir Technologies, Stripe, and Facebook.
