BitMart, a crypto exchange platform, has announced a wind-down of its trading platform after years of declining market performance. The exchange once ranked among the top 10 by trading volume before slipping to the high-teen positions.

BitMart announced that it began winding down operations on the 26th of July. This included halting registrations, deposits, and new trading activity.

Ultimately, BitMart’s exit shows how sustained competitive pressure can steadily erode an exchange’s market position until operations become difficult to sustain.

Ethereum ETF outflows raised fresh concerns over institutional demand after U.S. spot ETFs recorded a $70.7 million net outflow on July 24.

BlackRock accounted for the largest share of that activity after investors withdrew $52.8 million from its $ETH fund.

The figures interrupted a period of sustained inflows and shifted attention toward whether large investors had started locking in profits.

However, one trading session rarely defines a broader trend, especially after weeks of consistent institutional accumulation.

Instead, the latest withdrawal suggested that some investors had adopted a more cautious stance near key price resistance.

As a result, Ethereum faced greater scrutiny because sustained ETF outflows could reduce institutional demand and weaken bullish sentiment if similar withdrawals continued over the coming sessions.

On-chain spot flow data also reflected a subtle shift after Ethereum recorded a $5.92 million net inflow into exchanges during the latest session.

Positive netflows generally indicate that more $ETH moved onto exchanges than left them, increasing the amount of readily tradable supply.

Although the inflow remained relatively modest, it contrasted with the recent pattern of stronger exchange outflows that had previously limited immediate selling pressure.

Meanwhile, the ETF withdrawal and positive spot netflow pointed in the same direction, showing that fresh supply had started returning to the market.

Even so, the figures remained far below the large exchange inflows that often accompany aggressive selloffs.

Consequently, buyers still retained an opportunity to absorb the additional supply before it significantly altered Ethereum’s broader market structure.

Ethereum faced a strong rejection after testing the $1,950 supply zone, where sellers quickly regained control and halted the recent recovery.

XRP Posts Second-Highest RWA Inflow in Six Months, Adds $2.6B
The XRP Ledger has recorded the second-highest inflow of real-world assets over the past six months, as total value exceeds $4 billion.

XRP continues to expand its presence in the tokenized real-world asset (RWA) market as tokenization gains more traction this year. 

According to data from RWA.xyz, a leading platform that tracks tokenized RWA activity, the network attracted $2.6 billion in new RWA value over the past six months, excluding stablecoins.

This gives the XRP Ledger the second-largest RWA inflow among all blockchain networks during the period. Only BNB Chain recorded a higher figure, bringing in $3 billion over the same six months. Essentially, the XRPL has become one of the fastest-growing networks for tokenized real-world assets.

The company behind the cryptocurrency and stock trading app, Robinhood, is reportedly discussing plans to expand its existing prediction markets offering with crypto exchange Crypto.com.

According to a Friday Wall Street Journal report citing people familiar with the matter, Robinhood was in talks with Crypto.com to place yes-or-no event contracts supplied by the exchange. The trading company launched its prediction markets hub in March 2025, initially facilitated by Kalshi in order to comply with regulatory requirements from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and later using ForecastEx and Rotella.

The reported move came just days after Bernstein analysts raised the firm’s price target on Robinhood (HOOD) stock to $160 from $130 per share, based on the company’s outlook for prediction markets and tokenized equities. They predicted Robinhood’s revenue using prediction markets could reach $1.7 billion by 2028.

While Bernstein said in April that volumes in prediction markets could reach $1 trillion by 2030, many of the platforms face ongoing legal challenges in the United States between state and federal authorities. The CFTC has claimed to have “exclusive jurisdiction” over the companies’ event contracts, while gaming authorities in many states have filed lawsuits attempting to block or restrict their activities.
