Американская криптовалютная биржа Coinbase готовится к листингу еще одного цифрового актива на своей платформе. Согласно официальному заявлению биржи, поддержка спотовой торговли токеном OPINION ($OPN) скоро станет доступна пользователям.

Согласно объявлению, листинг токена $OPN будет зависеть от выполнения определенных условий. В частности, если на рынке будет достаточная ликвидность и будут соблюдены требования к поддержке торговли в соответствующих регионах, будет активирована торговая пара $OPN-USD. Согласно запланированному графику, запуск торговой пары ожидается 5 марта 2026 года после 21:00 по турецкому времени.

С активацией поддержки спотовой торговли инвесторы смогут покупать и продавать токены $OPN напрямую за доллары США.  Однако Coinbase отмечает, что на начальных этапах объем торгов новыми активами может быть ограничен, и пользователям следует внимательно следить за рыночной ситуацией в этот период.

Coinbase, Microsoft and Europol take down phishing service ‘Tycoon 2FA’
A coalition of tech companies and law enforcement, including Coinbase, has dismantled the core infrastructure of Tycoon 2FA, a major phishing-as-a-service platform that offered tools to bypass multi-factor authentication.

Europol announced Wednesday that Microsoft helped block 330 domains linked to the platform, while law enforcement seized additional key infrastructure.

Financial tracing was also a key aspect. Coinbase said it assisted by tracing blockchain-related transactions funding Tycoon 2FA, which helped identify the phishing platform's alleged administrator and buyers.

“Taking Tycoon’s core infrastructure offline cuts off a major pipeline for credential theft and initial access, and forces criminals to rebuild, retool, and take on more risk,” Coinbase added.
Phishing scams were flagged as the second-largest threat in 2025 by blockchain security firm Certik, costing crypto investors $722 million across 248 incidents. A PeckShield spokesperson told Cointelegraph on Monday that phishing remains a “persistent threat” in 2026.

Tycoon tools used to bypass multi-factor authentication

Tycoon’s toolkit included spoofed landing pages designed to steal user credentials on legitimate websites. It also captured session cookies and tokens, allowing attackers to bypass MFA protections, according to Coinbase.

Generally, when a user logs in using MFA, the system generates a session token. The token acts as proof of authentication and is stored in the user’s browser. If a hacker steals the token, they can use it to fool the system and bypass MFA.
That combination, high-fidelity lures plus session-token theft, turns phishing into a reliable on-ramp for bigger crimes like account takeovers, business email compromise, invoice fraud, and follow-on social engineering,” Coinbase added.

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has jumped on the recent dips and added exposure to key crypto stocks – Coinbase and Robinhood.

On 03 March, the firm scooped 22,452 shares of Coinbase Global (Nasdaq: COIN) via its ETFs, ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF.

Based on the stock’s closing price of $182.36 on Tuesday, the bid was worth $4.09 million.

Additionally, the firm bought 158,587 shares of Robinhood (Nasdaq: HOOD), worth over $12 million based on the closing price of $76.07 on Tuesday.

Coinbase’s share price has dropped by 58% from its 2025 high of $444.65, while HOOD was down about 52% from last year’s peak of $153. Put differently, the stocks were trading at a discount and at an attractive level for long-term investors.

However, Ark Invest’s move also coincided with key updates linked to these crypto firms.

Robinhood rolls out wealth management

The Robinhood bid coincided with the firm scaling into wealth management after unveiling its Robinhood Advisor Network. According to the firm, the shift would help make Robinhood a “financial superapp” to further drive financial access.

Robinhood believes we may be at a great wealth transfer window and is positioning accordingly for this potential shift. Now, does that mean Ark Invest believes in Robinhood’s vision? Well, the latest exposure to HOOD can be viewed as Ark Invest’s vote on the firm.

Coinbase is also pursuing an “everything exchange” vision, from custody to prediction markets. It also runs Base, one of the largest Ethereum Layer-2s. More importantly, the exchange has doubled down on AI agents and is betting on them becoming mainstream.
