IREN Limited (NASDAQ: IREN) has announced revenue fell to $144.8 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2026, down from $184.7 million in the prior quarter, as weaker Bitcoin economics collided with its ongoing buildout of AI Cloud capacity.

The drop was $39.9 million, tied to a lower average Bitcoin price and the removal of older mining machines before new GPU systems began generating full customer billing.

The bottom line was uglier. IREN reported a net loss of $247.8 million, compared with a $155.4 million loss in Q2 FY26. Adjusted EBITDA fell to $59.5 million from $75.3 million. Costs also came down by $25.9 million, mainly because reduced mining activity lowered power use.

The quarter carried $140.4 million in non-cash impairments, mostly from retired mining hardware, and $23.7 million in unrealized losses tied to capped calls linked to convertible notes.IREN signed a five-year, $3.4 billion AI Cloud contract with NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) covering air-cooled Blackwell GPUs. The company plans to place that hardware inside 60MW of existing data center space at Childress, with customer ramp-up expected from early 2027.

Daniel Roberts, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of IREN, said, “The world is structurally short compute, and the bottleneck is delivered data center and GPU capacity.” After that, Daniel said the quarter included work across power, land, data center construction, and large-scale compute delivery.

The company also entered a wider 5GW partnership with NVIDIA. That agreement covers data center designs and infrastructure built around NVIDIA systems across IREN’s global power base. IREN also gave NVIDIA a five-year right to buy up to 30 million ordinary shares at $70 each, which could bring in up to $2.1 billion if all conditions are met, including regulatory approvals.

Coinbase Global Inc. (Nasdaq: COIN) reported on May 7 that its first-quarter performance reflected stronger participation across spot trading, derivatives, stablecoins, and on-chain products. The crypto firm posted $202 billion in quarterly trading volume, $294 billion in assets held on platform, and a workforce of more than 4,900 employees.

Retail and institutional participation accelerated during the quarter. “Coinbase crypto trading volume market share increased to 8.6%, a new all-time high driven by product innovation and derivatives growth,” the crypto firm noted, adding that derivatives have become a larger part of its trading business, with trailing-12-month volume up 169% from the prior year. Retail derivatives also reached an annualized revenue run rate above $200 million, while prediction markets crossed $100 million in annualized revenue less than two months after launch. Hyperliquid Strategies posts $165 million net loss for nine months ended March 31 as HYPE treasury growsHyperliquid Strategies Inc., the Nasdaq-listed HYPE token treasury firm, now holds about 20 million tokens, according to its fiscal third-quarter filing on Thursday. 

The firm has deployed $216 million to acquire approximately 7.3 million HYPE tokens since its inception in December 2025. Hyperliquid Strategies went public last year through a merger with Sonnet BioTherapeutics to focus on accumulating HYPE tokens to maximize shareholder value through staking, yield optimization, and ecosystem participation.

"This quarter marked meaningful progress in establishing HSI as the leading public vehicle for capital efficient HYPE exposure, amid Hyperliquid's continued dominance in on-chain finance," Hyperliquid Strategies CEO David Schamis said in the filing.

"We materially scaled our HYPE treasury, announced our validator partnership with Unit, and completed the disposition of the majority of our legacy bio-tech operations — milestones that, together with disciplined capital deployment and growing staking revenue, deepen HSI's alignment with Hyperliquid's deflationary mechanics and ecosystem expansion," Schamis added.

In addition to buying HYPE, the firm has also deployed $10.5 million to repurchase about 3 million PURR shares at an average cost of $3.42 per PURR share. It maintains a $103 million cash position for future treasury deployments, repurchases and other corporate expenses. 

That said, PURR reported a $165.4 million net loss for the past nine months ended March 31. This is "primarily attributable" to $64 million in net unrealized losses on its HYPE tokens, a one-time $35.6 million write-off related to the acquisition of the legacy Sonnet business and a $60.5 increase in deferred tax expense, the announcement states.

Despite the improving fundamentals, TON’s upcoming token unlock continues to represent one of the largest risks to its current momentum.

Token unlocks introduce previously restricted tokens into circulation, increasing available supply within the market. Projects commonly use these token releases to fund ecosystem development, community incentives, and operational activities.

TON is expected to unlock approximately $103 million worth of tokens on the 24th of May. A supply increase of that magnitude could place downward pressure on price if buying demand fails to keep pace with the additional circulation.


The risk becomes more significant considering that TON’s inflows and outflows had only recently ranged between $7 million and $15 million before the latest rally pushed activity higher.

Recent trading sessions recorded inflows between roughly $143 million and $200 million, and the market must maintain that level of demand to absorb the new supply without weakening bullish momentum.
