Grayscale’s Top Analyst Just Said XRP Is Mispriced: Here’s What Changes That

One of Wall Street’s most important voices on digital assets just made a statement about XRP. Zach Pandl, Head of Research at Grayscale Investments, told Paul Barron Network that XRP is positioned for a meaningful repricing event, and the trigger is something the entire crypto industry has been waiting on for years: regulatory clarity.

The Repricing Thesis

Speaking directly on the question of whether XRP would be repriced if the proposed crypto legislation passes, Pandl was unambiguous.

“I do,” he said. “I think we would see a repricing across a range of assets, certainly including XRP.”

His confidence is rooted in what he is already seeing in the market. Grayscale’s GXRP product, the firm’s XRP-focused investment vehicle, has been drawing consistent and growing demand from institutional investors. Pandl described those investors as looking ahead to clarity and asking what it means to unlock further value in these networks.

In other words, sophisticated money is already positioning. The repricing, in his view, has not happened yet because the regulatory framework that would justify it has not arrived yet.

Section 205: The Clause That Changes Everything

The conversation zeroed in on a specific and largely underreported element of the proposed crypto legislation: Section 205, which would require projects to demonstrate their blockchain meets a threshold of decentralisation to qualify as a mature blockchain under the law.

For Ripple, this clause carries direct implications. It would require the company to restructure or potentially burn portions of its XRP holdings to meet the 20% mature blockchain component requirement. The daily chart tells the scale of both the damage and the recovery. $TRUMP bottomed near $2.68 at the lower Bollinger Band earlier this week after months of grinding lower inside a descending channel defined by a falling resistance trendline from the October 2025 highs. Yesterday’s spike broke price above the BB midline at $3.94, the 20-day EMA at $3.35, the 50-day at $3.71, and the 100-day at $4.45 in a single session.

At press time, the upper Bollinger Band at $3.94 has flipped from resistance to support. Above that sits the 100-day EMA and the 200-day EMA at $5.94, which has capped every recovery attempt since 2025. A close above it would be the first genuine structural break in months.

Tech investor and former Coinbase chief technology officer Balaji Srinivasan has called on the crypto industry to develop more financial tools for refugees and stateless people.

In a Saturday post on X, Srinivasan said the number of displaced individuals could grow as global conflicts intensify and economic migration increases. He pointed to examples ranging from Ukrainians fleeing war to workers leaving the Gulf countries amid regional tensions.

“We should build more crypto tools for refugees and stateless people,” Srinivasan wrote, suggesting that blockchain-based systems can provide financial infrastructure when traditional institutions fail or become inaccessible.

Srinivasan described crypto as “wartime mode for the internet,” arguing that decentralized networks were designed to operate even under hostile conditions such as cyberattacks, infrastructure failures or financial restrictions.
