Bitcoin’s recovery is drawing stronger regulated demand as investors absorb BTC faster across U.S. and European investment products.

Bitcoin’s move upward past $80k is gaining steam with ETF subscription growth as well as a recent pullback in Bitcoin.

The U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have absorbed $337.6 million in new subscriptions for the third straight week. This represents six weeks of consecutive inflows totaling about $2.26 billion.

That matters because steady subscriptions create persistent buying demand, helping absorb available Bitcoin [BTC] as price pushes through resistance.


According to Farside data, BlackRock’s IBIT led with $208.9 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC added $104.6 million.

Needless to say, this represented the largest concentration of investment capital into these two institutions. Furthermore, they have also been the primary sources of the majority of the investments so far this year.

Term Labs Hacker Moves 300 ETH to Tornado Cash Following $8.5M Governance ExploitA hacker who exploited a governance vulnerability in the DeFi protocol Term Labs over the weekend has begun moving stolen funds through crypto mixing service Tornado Cash, according to blockchain security firm PeckShield. The attacker deposited 300 $ETH, worth approximately $741,000, into the privacy protocol in three separate 100 $ETH transactions, a move that likely aims to obscure the trail of the stolen assets.
Details of the Exploit and Fund Movements
The initial breach occurred on July 13, 2025, when the attacker manipulated Term Labs' governance mechanism to drain roughly $8.5 million in cryptocurrency from the protocol.
PeckShield identified the Tornado Cash deposits on July 14, noting that the transactions were split to avoid detection and to complicate tracking efforts. Tornado Cash is a popular mixing service that breaks the on-chain link between source and destination addresses, making it difficult for investigators to follow the money.

The U.S. Treasury has added Iran’s cryptocurrency industry to the sectors it can sanction, opening foreign exchanges, brokers and service providers to potential blacklisting as Washington expands financial pressure on Tehran.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued a determination allowing it to sanction any person, regardless of location, it determines operates in Iran’s cryptocurrency sector.

“The Iranian regime increasingly turns to cryptocurrency as a tool of choice for sanctions evasion, supporting transactions linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iranian regime insiders,” a Treasury announcement reads.

Iran’s crypto ecosystem reached $7.78 billion in 2025, according to Chainalysis data. IRGC-linked wallets received more than $3 billion during the year and accounted for over half of Iranian crypto inflows in the fourth quarter, though the estimates cover only wallets publicly tied to sanctions listings.

Crypto was one of five sectors named under Operation Economic Outcast, which Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described as an economic “D–Day.” Technology, gold, aviation and shipping were the other included sectors.

The change does not automatically blacklist every Iranian crypto company or prohibit all activity involving the country’s digital asset industry. Instead, it gives OFAC a standing basis for future designations, widening a campaign that had previously focused on named exchanges, wallets and individuals.

Alongside nearly 60 entities, the Treasury sanctioned UAE-based Ukrainian vessel broker Ivan Obukhov, alleging he processed more than $100 million in crypto payments since 2023 to facilitate Iranian oil sales on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force.
