What’s behind Polygon’s momentum?
As per CryptoQuant data, Polygon’s exchange outflows surged by 690% in 24 hours, confirming the intense buying pressure. Over the past week, exchange outflows have been rising, with the 21st and 24th of August being the biggest days.
Moreover, capital inflow into the ecosystem has surged as seen in the Bridge Volume.

As per Artemis, Polygon PoS accounted for the second largest bridge volume behind Tether’s liquidity protocol, USDTO. Polygon PoS volume is up 263% in the past week.

However, in the past 24 hours Polygon PoS posted the strongest Bridged Net Flows of more than $20 million in the entire market.More so, the network’s DeFi integration was growing as the TVL of the $POL-based liquid staking vault grew. For instance, Charm’s sPOL vault hit $1 million in TVL, becoming the largest market maker for sPOL. This vault provides liquidity for native liquid staking (LST) on the Polygon network, satisfying the rising Historical Volatility.

Visa is working with Nium to explore seven-day stablecoin settlement through Singapore’s BLOOM initiative, as the payments giant tests faster and more programmable cross-border flows, Fintech News Singapore reported.


Led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, BLOOM stands for Borderless, Liquid, Open, Online and Multi-currency, and brings together financial institutions and industry participants to test faster cross-border payments. Maybank Singapore recently joined the initiative to help develop common standards and infrastructure for tokenised cross-border payments. Nium is Visa’s first pilot partner under the program, and because payment settlements typically take place on business days, the two companies will explore settlement on weekends and public holidays.

The pilot will use regulated stablecoins backed by major currencies, including the U.S. dollar and euro, alongside Visa’s payment network and compliance systems. The companies aim to reduce delays and give participating financial institutions faster access to funds outside standard settlement windows. BLOOM brings together financial institutions and other industry participants to test faster and more programmable cross-border payments, and the pilot is part of Visa’s broader experimentation with blockchain-based settlement as the company extends its network beyond card rails into digital-asset infrastructure.

TMX serves as the governance and utility token for the platform, allowing holders to participate in protocol decisions and access various DeFi services.

For Aster, adding TMX perpetual futures broadens its derivatives catalog and positions the exchange to capture trading demand from TermMax’s user base. Perpetual futures remain one of the most actively traded instruments in crypto, offering traders leveraged exposure without expiry dates. The integration provides TMX holders with additional avenues to manage risk or express directional views on the token’s price.

Grayscale launches first Zcash ETF

This is the first ETF offering direct exposure to $ZEC.

The fund, trading under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, is a conversion of the existing Grayscale Zcash Trust. Instead of holding $ZEC themselves, investors can now buy ETF shares through traditional brokerage accounts.
It’s an interesting time for a launch like this. The token just rallied massively, and the network itself has gone through major security upgrades.

This has to do with the discovery of a critical vulnerability in its privacy system earlier this year. Developers responded with the Ironwood upgrade to help the network’s security and accounting mechanisms.

Before converting it into an ETF, the Grayscale Zcash Trust had more than $313 million in AUM.

Grayscale has previously converted several of its crypto trusts into ETFs. This includes its Bitcoin [BTC] and Ethereum [ETH] products, following its legal battle with the U.S. SEC over spot crypto ETFs.

Since then, the firm’s offerings have gone on to include Ripple’s $XRP [$XRP], Solana [SOL], and Litecoin [LTC] ETFs.

$ZEC price pushes up

Ahead of the ETF entry, $ZEC hit eight-year high near $867; up sharply from around $500 earlier in August. However, there has been some slowing down since, with the token at $822 at the time of writing.

$ZEC futures open interest [OI] went up to above $1.2 billion, while funding rates stay positive. There is continued bullish positioning.

Bitcoin holds $79,000, ether, solana slip as traders bank a week of gains

Bitcoin eased to around the $79,000 mark in Asian morning hours Wednesday, down almost 1% on the day, as traders took profits after a week that lifted it 23%.

XRP fell hardest among the majors, down over 4% to just above $1.44, though it still leads the week at almost 45%. Privacy-focused Zcash dropped almost 6% to just above $783 while holding a 55% weekly gain, the strongest of the group, as a dedicated spot ETF went live in the US.

Dogecoin slid almost 5% to just under 9 cents, solana over 3% to just under $97, and tron almost 3% to nearly 34 cents.

BNB fell almost 2% to just over $695 and ether over 1% to just under $2,465, keeping weekly gains of almost 16% and 29% respectively. Hyperliquid's HYPE was the only major higher, up almost 3% to just over $81 and almost 40% on the week.

Valuation measures moved the other way. CryptoQuant's Bull Score, which tracks 10 market and onchain indicators, jumped from 30 to 80 over the week, its highest since Oct. 6, 2025, when bitcoin traded near $124,000. Eight of the 10 indicators are now bullish.

Apparent spot demand is growing at its fastest monthly pace since late December, the firm shared in a note with CoinDesk, and spot and futures demand are expanding together for the first time since early October 2025.
