XRP ETF Trading Surges to New ATH as August Flows Cross $56M
The XRP ETF products have seen a massive and sustained increase in trading activity as XRP’s price recently recovered above $1.40.

According to data from SoSoValue, XRP ETFs recorded about $125 million in daily trading volume on Aug. 20, 2026. This was the highest daily volume since these products began trading in November 2025.

The Aug. 20 figure was 42% higher than the previous record of $87.84 million, which XRP ETFs recorded on Nov. 24, 2025. Trading activity remained strong the next day, with XRP ETFs recording $94.03 million in volume on Aug. 21. 
This pushed the Nov. 24 figure to the third-highest daily volume at the time. Interestingly, activity increased again at the start of the new week, as XRP ETFs recorded $107.92 million on Aug. 24, making it the second-highest daily volume.

An account holding 2,151 $XRP is now in the top 10% of $XRP holders. The top 5% requires 7,503 $XRP, while 44,896 $XRP is enough to reach the top 1%. To enter the top 0.1%, an account needs about 275,420 $XRP.

U.S. Targets Iran-Linked Crypto Activity as Treasury Expands Sanctions Authority

The U.S. Treasury has expanded its Iran sanctions authority to cover the cryptocurrency, technology, gold, aviation and shipping sectors, allowing the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to target people and entities determined to operate in those areas regardless of location. 

OFAC also imposed sanctions on nearly 60 Iran-linked individuals, entities and vessels, according to the Treasury. 

Among those targeted was Ukrainian shipping broker Ivan Obukhov, whom the Treasury accused of facilitating Iranian oil sales on behalf of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force. 

The Treasury said Obukhov handled more than $100 million in crypto payments linked to the oil sales since 2023.

The fund will trade under the ticker ZCSH.

This comes as ZEC rallies to new highs.

Crypto ETF issuer Grayscale has launched the first Zcash spot ETF, further expanding its crypto offerings. This comes as the ZEC price rallies to new highs amid renewed optimism in the crypto market, with Bitcoin breaking above $80,000.
In a press release, the crypto ETF issuer announced that its spot Zcash ETF has begun trading on the NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH. The fund becomes the first to offer institutional investors spot exposure to the privacy coin.

This follows yesterday’s report that Grayscale plans to launch the ZEC fund today after filing an 8-K with the SEC. The launch further expands Grayscale’s crypto offerings, with the asset manager already offering Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, Chainlink, Dogecoin, and Sui ETFs.

The Zcash ETF launch comes amid rising demand for ZEC, as the privacy narrative heats up. Zcash has notably received endorsement from crypto stakeholders such as Cameron Winklevoss, who is backing the ZEC treasury firm Cypherpunk.

In a recent X post, he said,  “If you are bullish on AI then you are bullish on Zcash. In the age of super intelligence, private money is essential.”
