Tron founder Justin Sun, who poured more than $100 million into the project across two separate investments, went public on X with a pointed accusation: that WLFI quietly built a backdoor into its smart contract infrastructure — one that lets the team freeze, restrict, or block access to user funds without warning.

Sun said he was not just a critic watching from the outside. His own crypto wallet was blacklisted in 2025, he claimed, making him the project’s first and largest victim. He called the feature the opposite of what decentralized finance is supposed to stand for.

WLFI has not issued a formal public response to the allegations.


Borrowed Millions Against Its Own Tokens
The hidden control accusation arrived alongside a separate controversy that had already been gaining attention. According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, WLFI deposited close to 2 billion of its own tokens into the Dolomite lending protocol and borrowed more than $31 million in stablecoins against them.

The project now accounts for roughly 55% of Dolomite’s total liquidity — a concentration that has raised eyebrows among observers tracking the platform’s exposure.

BlackRock Continues Bitcoin Buying Spree with $612 Million Added Through IBIT ETF

Top Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) issuer BlackRock made major purchases last week worth around $612 million, out of a total net inflow of $786 million across these funds, data from Arkham Intelligence show. The company's IBIT Bitcoin trust is looking to maintain its status as the world's largest Bitcoin ETF despite the recent spot market troubles.

Bitcoin is currently trading around $71.5k, showing a 1% price appreciation over the last 24 hours. BlackRock's recent Bitcoin buying spree has shown sustained institutional interest in the premier cryptocurrency, led by IBIT. Smaller ETFs like Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) and ARK 21Shares' ARKB contributed modest positive flows, while Grayscale's GBTC and several others posted neutral or negligible activity. No major outflows offset the buying, marking a broad-based rebound from earlier April volatility.

Crypto funds pull in $1.1 billion as bitcoin products lead strongest inflow week since January: CoinShares
Global crypto investment products drew $1.1 billion in inflows last week, according to CoinShares data.

James Butterfill, the firm’s head of research, said the total was the strongest since early January, driven by softer U.S. CPI data and easing geopolitical stress.

Nearly all the buying came from the U.S., which accounted for about 95% of total flows.
Crypto investment products issued by asset managers, including BlackRock, Fidelity, and Bitwise, attracted $1.1 billion in inflows last week, the strongest showing since early January, according to CoinShares.

CoinShares Head of Research James Butterfill attributed the latest influx to lower-than-expected U.S. inflation data and calmer geopolitical conditions that revived risk appetite.

The rebound marks a sharp step up from the prior week, when crypto funds pulled in $224 million as XRP led allocations while bitcoin demand stayed mixed. More broadly, trading activity improved, but not dramatically. CoinShares said volumes rose 13% week over week to $21 billion, still well below the year-to-date average of $31 billion.

Total assets under management, however, recovered to levels last seen in early February.
Bitcoin BTC+0.12%funds, particularly the Wall Street ETF complex, accounted for the bulk of the latest haul, drawing $872 million and lifting year-to-date inflows to nearly $2 billion.

Yet, the data also showed investors were still hedging. Short-bitcoin products brought in $20.2 million, their largest weekly inflow since November 2024, even as spot bitcoin products led the market higher.

Ethereum ETH+0.019%investment products posted a notable recovery with $196.5 million in inflows, though the asset remains in net outflow territory for the year at minus $130 million.

Summary Researchers found that 26 third-party LLM routers are actively injecting malicious code and stealing credentials by exploiting their access to plaintext data. The study revealed that intermediaries can intercept private keys and cloud credentials because they terminate secure encryption to aggregate AI requests. According to a paper published on Thursday by University of California researchers, the supply chain for Large Language Models (LLM) contains several vulnerabilities that allow for malicious code injection and credential extraction.  These intermediaries, which developers use to manage access to providers like Google or OpenAI, essentially act as a “middleman” that terminates secure encryption.  You might also like: AI hiring claims face test as US job growth stays modest Because they have full plaintext access to every message sent through them, sensitive data like seed phrases or private keys can be intercepted by unverified infrastructure. Evasion tactics and the “YOLO” risk The researchers tested 400 free and 28 paid routers to measure the extent of these risks. Nine of these services actively injected malicious code, while 17 separate routers were caught accessing Amazon Web Services credentials owned by the team.  During the experiment, one router successfully drained Ether from a decoy wallet after the researchers provided a prefunded private key.  Although the team kept the balances low to ensure the total loss remained under $50, the result confirmed how easily a compromised intermediary can siphon funds. “26 LLM routers are secretly injecting malicious tool calls and stealing creds,” co-author Chaofan Shou stated on X.
