A long-term shift in wealth ownership is expected to influence financial markets, with digital assets likely to benefit from evolving investor preferences. Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl highlighted on April 14 how capital moving to younger generations could reshape allocation trends, especially as familiarity with alternative assets grows. Although gradual, this transition could meaningfully impact crypto adoption over time.

A large share of U.S. wealth is concentrated among baby boomers, individuals born between 1946 and 1964, and the Silent Generation, born roughly between 1928 and 1945. As this capital transfers, investment decisions may increasingly reflect different risk appetites and openness to innovation. Younger investors typically show greater interest in emerging asset classes, which may shift portfolio construction. Pandl stated:

“We believe that the upcoming generational wealth transfer may have structural implications for crypto. As assets change hands, portfolios could shift to incorporate a higher share of crypto assets, creating a tailwind for valuations.”

At a compound annual growth rate of roughly 80% between 2025 and 2030, Chhugani sees prediction market trading volume of $1 trillion a year by the start of the next decade.  Chhugani expects increased regulatory clarity at the federal level will boost the potential market, and that blockchain tokenization and integration with cryptocurrencies is enabling more liquidity. Trump Is Hosting Another Meme Coin Gala—The Price for VIP Access Is Down 90%

While VIPs averaged $4.7 million in $TRUMP tokens last event, some earned VIP status with around $300,000 worth of $TRUMP tokens this year.

$TRUMP is down about 96% from its all-time high, recently changing hands at $2.79.

President Donald Trump is set to host another in-person event for his meme coin holders later this month at Mar-a-Lago, but in perhaps a sign of times, the price to attend is considerably lower than it was last year.

The team behind President Trump’s Solana-based token, which trades as $TRUMP, finalized the list of attendees on Tuesday, with the guest list based on a leaderboard tied to token holdings and other factors.

Last time around, a select group of attendees attained “VIP” status by each amassing millions of dollars’ worth of the tokens. But earning the VIP label for President Trump’s latest event, a luncheon and conference to be held for top holders, cost roughly 90% less this time around—down from approximately $3 million to around $300,000.

VIP status, the top level of access for the event, grants attendees a private “meet and learn” experience with “superstar” attendees like Tether’s Paolo Ardoino, retired boxer Mike Tyson, and Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood. That bonus reward, beyond access to the luncheon with President Trump, was granted to the top 29 registered $TRUMP holders who earned points based on time-weighted holdings of the token from March 12 to April 14.
