Coinbase x402 Launches Al Agent App Store The marketplace offers access to services including Google Flights and the social media platform X, among others

Coinbase's x402 payments protocol has launched Agentic.market, a marketplace where Al agents can discover and transact with compatible web services using stablecoins, without needing API keys.

Nick Prince, Coinbase's product lead, announced the platform on X, describing it as a "storefront for discovering, comparing, and using x402 services." The marketplace offers access to services including Google Flights and the social media platform X, among others.

Prince said that while hundreds of thousands of Alagents have already processed hundreds of millions in transaction volume, users have historically depended on fragmented sources and word-of-mouth to find compatible tools. Agentic.market is designed to replace that.

Bitcoin treasury company Strategy has added $2.54 billion worth of the asset to its reserves in its biggest acquisition since November 2024.

Strategy Has Just Completed A Mega Bitcoin Buy
In a new post on X, Strategy co-founder and chairman Michael Saylor has shared the details related to the company’s latest Monday Bitcoin acquisition. In total, this buy has added 34,164 BTC to the firm’s reserves, bought for a whopping $2.54 billion. Not only is the buy the largest for the year, it’s in fact the biggest purchase made by Strategy since November 2024.

According to the filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the mega purchase was fueled using sales of the company’s STRC and MSTR at-the-market (ATM) stock offerings.

Overall, this acquisition is the third-largest that the company has ever made, in both BTC and USD terms. The two bigger purchases both occurred back-to-back in November 2024 and involved 51,780 and 55,500 tokens.

The latest large buy has come a week after Strategy made another billion-dollar purchase. Saylor hinted at this week’s buy being larger in his usual Sunday foreshadowing post, this time sharing the company’s Bitcoin portfolio tracker with the caption, “Think Even ₿igger.”

Strategy’s holdings have now grown to 815,061 BTC, equivalent to 4.07% of the cryptocurrency’s entire supply in circulation. The treasury company spent a total of $61.56 billion to assemble this stack, putting the average cost basis per token at $75,527. Earlier, the firm went into a state of net unrealized loss due to the bearish price action, but the latest recovery has meant that its holdings are now at about break-even.

Hoskinson argued that there is "nothing" within the Ripple network that naturally creates buy demand for XRP. According to him, the token does not have built-in mechanisms, such as staking rewards or ownership rights, that would directly drive long-term price appreciation.

DeFi Losses Pass $600M in Three Weeks With Kelp DAO Bridge Exploit

Total value locked across DeFi fell to approximately $82.4 billion, down 25% from the $110 billion recorded at the start of 2026
The decentralized finance sector has absorbed more than $600 million in losses over the past three weeks, driven by a string of platform exploits. The most recent and largest came Saturday, when an attacker drained $292 million from Kelp DAO's cross-chain bridge, sending sector-wide metrics to their lowest point in a year.

Total value locked across DeFi fell to approximately $82.4 billion, down 25% from the $110 billion recorded at the start of 2026. The day following the Kelp DAO exploit, DeFi posted a single-session drawdown of about 5.6%. That places the move near the 98th percentile of severity since 2024.

Lending markets bore the steepest losses, with TVL falling around 13%. Liquid staking declined roughly 3.4%, while decentralized exchanges and derivatives protocols each dropped between 2% and 3%. Crypto security firm Halborn separately estimated that $86 million was lost to DeFi attacks in January, $23.5 million in February, and over $27 million in March.

The $292 million Kelp DAO incident followed a roughly $285 million exploit of Drift Protocol earlier this month, which stands as the largest Solana-based hack on record. Smaller breaches at Resolv Labs, Hyperbridge, and Rhea Finance added to the cumulative total.

The Kelp DAO attacker manipulated a cross-chain message to drain rsETH from a bridge powered by LayerZero. The stolen assets were then deposited as collateral on Aave, pulling the lending protocol into the fallout. Preliminary findings from security researchers have linked the attack to the North Korean hacking group Lazarus.

Aave froze rsETH on its platform to contain further exposure.
