$SUI price has slipped towards $1.04 as broader cryptocurrency market weakness continues to temper enthusiasm.

The token is down nearly 2% in the past 24 hours, with prices dropping even as Sui pushes to expand its utility by enabling fee-free stablecoin transfers.

However, as Sui seeks to attract payment flows amid growing stablecoin volumes on the chain, could bulls bounce back to test key resistance levels?

The opposite could be a dump to recent support zones.

Sui’s price struggles come in the week the protocol introduced gasless stablecoin transfers for seven tokens, including $USDC.

The move means Sui has removed transaction fees for users and positioned the network as a low-cost rails option for global payments.

Under the new configuration, users no longer need to hold $SUI to send $USDC and other supported stablecoins.

In this case, the protocol’s gasless feature may materially change user behavior.

With no per-transfer $SUI requirement, stablecoin activity can occur without direct demand for the native token at the point of transfer.

That convenience could accelerate stablecoin volume growth on Sui, potentially eroding some market share from entrenched rails such as Tron and Ethereum.

For context, the combined stablecoin market capitalization on TRON and ETH stands at roughly $90 billion and $163 billion, compared with a much smaller $500 million stablecoin market cap on Sui.

While Sui’s stablecoin market cap remains modest, the removal of transaction fees lowers the barrier for institutional and retail flows to the network.

$SUI’s total value locked (TVL) has decreased significantly from approximately $4.3 billion in October to less than $600 million today, reflecting both withdrawals and the reallocation of liquidity across DeFi ecosystems.

The Bitcoin market has shown itself to be very noisy during the trading session on Thursday as we continue to bounce around the 50-day EMA.

The 50-day EMA of course is an indicator that a lot of people will be watching as per usual, and it is worth noting that in the last couple of days we have actually stabilized.
Despite the fact that the interest rate markets are still flashing signals of risk-off type of behavior, Bitcoin has bucked the trend in general since the war started. While everything else started falling apart, Bitcoin just kind of hung out and consolidated. We have rallied; we have touched the 200-day EMA a couple of times. Now we are trying to determine whether or not we can go higher.
The resiliency has been something to be watching, and like I said a couple of weeks ago, sometimes it is about what a market won't do. Right now, it doesn't look like Bitcoin wants to fall, at least not significantly. I think longer-term the inflows into the ETFs and Wall Street from institutions, I might add, will eventually push the spot market higher, perhaps testing the 200-day EMA again, maybe even $84,000.

Glassnode Maps Bitcoin’s Quantum Vulnerability, Reveals Massive Exposure
On-chain analytics firm Glassnode highlighted several dangers quantum computers pose to Bitcoin (BTC) assets. Recent institutional reports have suggested similar numbers, as experts propose solutions to emerging risks. 

Glassnode researchers explained in a new report that quantum computers raise the question of Bitcoin security: ‘Which coins are exposed at rest?’ Assets whose public keys are exposed are at the center of debate, with experts citing figures around 30%. 

Glassnode says 30.2%, about 6.04 million coins, are exposed and split into two main categories: structural and operational exposure. Structurally exposed coins reveal the public key by design and include pay-to-public-key held by early adopters. 

About 1.92 million BTC, accounting for 9.6% of the total supply, are in this category. While most assets might be linked to the pseudonymous founder Satoshi Nakamoto, others might be outrightly linked to most tokens. In recent weeks, the community has proposed several ways to protect dormant assets that have not been moved in the last decade. 

Operationally exposed assets were compromised after address reuse. Spending, custody, and other activities are linked to causes with 20.6%, approximately 4.1 million BTC at risk. 

Crypto exchanges fall under this category, though exposure is uneven across platforms. Notably, centralized exchanges are addressing the security risk posed by quantum computers faster than larger networks.

Mark Cuban says Bitcoin failed to act like digital gold when war risk and dollar weakness hit, and he is right, but the stronger defense is that Bitcoin was never just a hedge.

Mark Cuban sold most of his Bitcoin because it failed to provide a hedge when fiat confidence weakened and geopolitical risk rose.

Cuban called it “not the hedge I expected it to be,” and the price record supports his frustration. Bitcoin traded around $77,663 in mid-May 2026, roughly 38% below the record high of $126,000 set in early October 2025.

Spot gold hit a record $5,594.82 on Jan. 29, while silver touched $121.64 the same day, driven by the same macro variables Cuban cited: inflation fears, dollar weakness, and geopolitical pressure.

World Gold Council data shows that gold demand in the first quarter reached 1,231 tonnes, including OTC, and the dollar value of quarterly demand jumped 74% year over year to a record $193 billion.

Central banks bought 244 tonnes net in the same period, and bar-and-coin demand hit 474 tonnes, up 42% year over year. Cuban also told Portfolio Players he is moving more money into Ethereum than Bitcoin, but the hedge critique is specific to Bitcoin.

Dogecoin ($DOGE) extends its rebound, trading above $0.105 on Friday after finding support around key support zones earlier this week. On-chain data shows that certain whale wallets have accumulated $DOGE tokens during the recent price correction. Despite this recent recovery, traders should be cautious, as derivatives metrics indicate mixed sentiment, capping the meme coin’s comeback.Santiment’s Supply Distribution data shows that large-wallet holders (whales) are buying $DOGE during its recent price dips, a move that supports the positive outlook for the token.

The metric indicates that whales holding between 10 million and 100 million $DOGE tokens (blue line) have accumulated a total of 500 million tokens since May 17. During the same period, whales holding 100,000 and 1 million tokens (red line) and holdings between 1 million and 10 million tokens (yellow line) have shed a total of 330 million tokens.

This shows that the second cohort of whales could have fallen prey to the capitulation event. In contrast, the first set of wallets seized the opportunity and accumulated $DOGE at a discount.

In addition, this buy-the-dip scenario signals continued long-term interest among large-wallet holders, which could act as a cushion.

Despite whales accumulating the recent dips, the derivatives metrics show mixed sentiment. CoinGlass’ long-to-short ratio for $DOGE reads 0.94 on Friday, nearing the lowest level over a month. This ratio, being below one, reflects bearish sentiment in the market, as more traders are betting on the asset’s price to fall.

However, the funding rates data for meme coin support improving sentiment. CoinGlass’ OI-Weighted Funding Rate data for $DOGE flipped positive on Monday, reading 0.0082% on Friday. This positive rate indicates that longs are paying shorts and projecting a bullish sentiment.
