First Bullish Wick Appears On XRP Weekly Chart, And This Analyst Says It Will Send Price To $21.5

A lone green candle on $XRP’s three-week chart is drawing attention from at least one analyst who believes it could be the start of something bigger than a routine bounce.

Crypto analyst CW, posting on X, flagged a bullish candlestick formation on the $XRP/USD 3W chart that he says signals the opening of a full-scale uptrend. One that, if his cycle analysis holds, with the setup pointing first to a retest of the all-time high zone and then, in an extreme scenario, to $21.5.

New Uptrend Is Starting On The 3-Week Chart

Technical analysis of $XRP’s price action on the 3-week candlestick timeframe chart is revealing an interesting signal. The signal itself is straightforward: a green candlestick has been printed on $XRP’s three-week chart at a time when the price is sitting just above $1.38.

The analysis comes from crypto analyst CW, and according to this projection, this could be the first bullish wick that shows sellers are losing control on this higher timeframe.

It is important to note that the rally hasn’t kicked off yet, and $XRP is still looking to solidify a break above $1.4. Also, indicators are yet to print full-scale uptrend signals, but according to the analyst, these bullish reversal signals will appear soon.

Those sub-indicators are visually consistent with a momentum oscillator cycling between oversold and overbought extremes shown in the chart below. They have printed blue dots at every significant $XRP low since 2014, including the floors that preceded the 2017 and 2021 rallies. A new blue dot appears to be forming now.

A deleted social media post by a White House official briefly pushed down oil prices—but prices rebounded quickly after U.S. intelligence detected signs that Iran was planning to deploy mines in the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway that carries about one-fifth of the world's daily oil supply.

The deleted post and the market volatility

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright posted on social media that the U.S. Navy had safely escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz, a statement that briefly calmed the market and caused crude oil prices to fall.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt subsequently confirmed the post was false. Wright deleted the post. Oil prices then surged.

This incident shook an already jittery market and drew strong condemnation from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who accused Washington of deliberately spreading disinformation to manipulate oil prices.

“This will not protect them from the tsunami of inflation they have imposed on Americans,” Araqchi said.

 The intelligence that triggered the price surge came from CBS White House correspondent Jennifer Jacobs, who reported that U.S. intelligence assets had detected signs of Iranian mine-laying activity in the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude climbed above $90 after falling to an intraday low of around $82 a barrel. U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude rose above $80 after touching $77 in early trading.

Both crudes were still down significantly for the day, but the speed of the rebound highlighted how sensitive traders are to any supply threats in this chokepoint.

Ethereum Price Forecast
Ethereum’s daily chart still looks structurally weak, and the moving averages make that clear. ETH trades below $2,030, which leaves it below the 50-day SMA at $2,187, the 100-day SMA at $2,637, and the 200-day SMA at $3,271. That stacked alignment shows trend damage across short-, medium-, and long-term timeframes, with each major average now acting as overhead resistance.
More importantly, the recent sideways movement near $2,000 does not yet reveal reclaiming strength. It shows ETH stabilizing well beneath its trend markers, which usually means the market is trying to build a floor, not launch a confirmed reversal.

The Aroon indicator adds to that cautious view. Aroon Up sits near 42.86%, while Aroon Down is much lower at 14.29%, suggesting bullish trend pressure remains weak even after the recent consolidation. In simple terms, Ethereum has stopped falling aggressively, but buyers still have not produced the kind of persistent highs needed to shift trend control.
